  1. Will a thunderbolt 3 board power a display with Ryzen?
  2. So how do I get one do I need a motherboard with it or GPU?
  3. I Am building a PC but I already have an 5K apple monitor that is thunderbolt 3. What can I do to get my thunderbolt 3 display to work with a windows PC?
  4. So I built a new PC a few months back and I want to play some games online with it however that isn't as simple as I thought because my ping on an average day is at least 700ms to 1000ms. I want to know how I can lower my ping even to 200ms either by getting a new, better router or changing to a better internet provider when one better comes out to my area. The router I use is a NetGear WNDR3400v3 and my internet provider is Viasat (formerly known as exede) and I am supposed to get 25mbps download speeds however I have yet to see my download speeds rise above 17mbps and a 60gb per month bandwidth limit. The router usually has around 7 people on it at a time and 1-2 are usually watching videos. Thank you!
  5. So Christmas came and the only thing I need to get now is a monitor and Windows for my PC but in order to save $90 I was wondering if there is a way I could use the Windows 10 OS on my laptop and get it on my PC build? Obiviously eBay has Windows 10 OS for $10 so I can always go there but that's $10 in my pocket for the monitor so I just want to know. Thanks!
  6. The case were just example of what I was looking for but I do wish I could buy them lol. Thank you for the suggestion I will look at it!
  7. Thanks for your tips! I changed my ram and CPU and PSU and switched to a 240 gig SSD I figure hardrives are pretty easy to save up for. Thanks for you help and I will find a nice Micro ATX case I like. Thank you!
  8. Thank you for your help I really appreciate it! I think I will use that PSU!
  9. So I am working on a build and I want to know what kind of case is the best for a budget build (cable management, air flow, etc) and I don't want a cheap power supply that's going to blow up on me. Here is the PC Part Picker list but keep in mind I will probably upgrade to 16 gigs of memory, Ryzen 5 1600, and a 1060 6gb in the next year or so https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Vcd3qk . I would like a case with good cable management and preferably a window and I would like a power supply that won't blow up and it will power up my system well for a good price. Just to give you an idea of cases I do like are the Phanteks - Enthoo Pro M Tempered Glass (Black) and Corsair - Crystal 570X RGB ATX Mid Tower Case. Thanks!
  10. I am working on a "Ultimate Budget Blender/UE4 Content Creation Build" (still working on the name) but I am extremely strapped for cash right now so I want to know if I can get away with using the 1050 instead of the 1050ti and which would give me better price-performance. Thank you!
  11. Thanks for the advice but an SSD is something I thought I would upgrade later because they cost a lot more and UE4 has a lot of big files.
  12. So my current $600 laptop is wrapping up its life and I need a new PC. It has served me well for Blender so I figure for Blender I won't need a beefy system if I just get a Ryzen 5 1600 which is a very good CPU for the money, however in recent days I want to learn UE4/C++ and be able to play with friends with some games (like Ark Survival and CS:GO). The problem is I don't have much money so I need to get the best performance for dollar as I can and planned this build here https://pcpartpicker.com/list/vHx3qk each part has been chosen from previous questions I have asked and such but now I want to lower the budget more. I want to know if I should use the 1050 instead of 1050ti. After googling it there seems to be around a 13% increase in performance and a 20% increase in price from the 1050 and I don't plan on using the GPU permanently and plan on getting a 1060 6gb in the next 6-8 months after purchase (unless a better budget card comes out). So I want to know is it worth getting the 1050ti or should I get the 1050 instead and if you have any other suggestions on the rest of the build please let me know. I would like to lower the price as much as possible and not increase it please thank you! Also some case suggestions with a window, good cable management, USB 3.0, and good cooling are welcome. Thanks!
