  1. Laptops usually do not have enough mounting pressure to cause insane drops and the heatsink is still a limiting factor...some laptop hsf will actually make LM not work at all since its too low so it just spills out. If you do not want to ruin the new laptop you can use foam dam method and ensure mounting pressure is high enough before closing it up and calling it a day. In low pressure areas ICD and Gelid will be better suited than Kryo or any LM~
  2. Compared to most loops I have seen mine minus well be hot glued together with all the flack I have gotten from drain port placement alone for the rads I have one HWLabs 360 GTS XFlow & one 280 GTS standard then for fans I went with push on the 360 with NB eloop B12-PS and P/P on the 280 with B14-PS. I doubt it matters too but Im using a Heatkiller AM4 block and EK block for the gpu.. Its a pretty standard D5 (Mines a D5 Strong) dual rad loop with only the cpu and gpu! though I did try and find cooling blocks for the hard drives but @PPCs-Matt fought me on that one. Also thanks for your business~
  3. With a proper custom loop you can get much further but in a more likely case for example when it comes to GPUs my Evga Hybrid 1080ti was around 53-60c at load in pubg & overwatch while the current loop never breaks 40c with the same exact card..some mmos do not even let it hit 30c and I can run it in K Boost mode permanently at 29c outside of games. The CPU gets a little more toasty running around 40c idle and 60c in some games with it peaking at 75c in AIDA64 SST. This is a far better result than old H100iV2/Evga Hybrid dual clc setup but it is indeed much pricier. edit: Forgot to also mention my rooms ambient is 28c while all this is happening which feels like an inferno to me but Im sure some have it worse.
  4. They will get it. Thats one of their CA Warehouses that handles this stuff~
  5. That is one of corsairs proper address for RMAs. Postal systems usually have the "proper" names of the location versus the "greater" area they are located in. You are safe to send it in with that label.
  6. I had two Magicool G2 and they are really good for the cost and will not let you down just flush rad as usual. Also consider the finishes you want... the nemesis will have better longer lasting paint job so take that into consideration this is white vs black but this is how nice nemesis finishes can be: (White GTS) the indents on side give it a nice looking stance. \ This is a Magicool G2 in action...its not really "slim" perse but it looks good and works well if you want to dump more money into other components. its just a black slab After awhile on lower quality radiators paint can start to ripple and flake off if you abuse it too much, Ive had alphacool rads ripple really bad before but nothing like that from Magi or HWLabs yet.
  7. Nope you didnt use AMD branded air your warranty is voided! *lights warranty paper on fire*
  8. He said it right there in video... AMD cant prove it therefor they do not really care. Its there...probably legacy and not important. Look at how many people RMAd for segfault...AMD didnt care what cooler was used. *The only case I see that they would care is if you tried using a $5 30W cooler on the 1800x overclocked it fully killed the cpu and then go try and RMA it.
  9. You can use Nvidias Adaptive sync if you do not want GSync and it works just fine. I have a 144/Freesync panel for my 1080ti and decided against Gsync but for lower end gpus its maybe sort of more worth it. Adaptive is decent but is hardly talked about anymore probably to try and sell Gsync panels.
  10. They are just Asetek Gen 4/5 rebadges and are everywhere along with the OEM Aseteks in WS/Server enviroment where LC is needed or wanted. Gen6 is upon us though so yay for that
  11. Clevos P775TM1, P870TM1 laptops are coffee lake desktop cpu machines. like this one here
  12. 5 years ago: i7-3770K 7970 > 7990 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD 16GB Ram Today I have two babies... Desktop: 1800X 1080Ti 1TB NVMe + 3 5TB HDDs 32GB Ram (Watercooled beauty of course!) Laptop: i7-8700 1070 Mobile 512GB Nvme + 2 2TB SSD 64GB Ram (I want to try WC mod one day) I've used Yamakasi Catleaps (Both the Multi and DVI Only) through the entire period until I got the New PX277 from Pixio a few months ago since I needed native DP, as for Keyboard I used a Noppoo Lolita with red switches and moved onto a Razer BW Chroma when walmart was selling one for $40 two years ago until that finally died and I opted for the Wooting One in November. Mouse was always my trusty G700s which sits in laptop bag for use there but I have moved onto the G502 for desktop due to accuracy. That damn 7990 set off the adventure for fully watercooled rig though...for a good year I let it overheat because It sounded like rocket science until I got everything and it was just like.. "oh this is easy". Which means now that everything is in a loop I cant go upgrade happy!
  13. You might want to look into the Wooting One it may be your next new best friend if only Ducky can satisfy~ Same for you Crunchy! Ducky or Wooting you wont be disappointed.
  14. HyperX, Sennheiser Game, Plantronics RIG 800HD/HS, G933, or Void Pros. Krakens are absolute garbage...my pink ones went right back into the box it was horrendous Razer couldnt pay me to wear any of their cans besides maybe the Tiamat..most everything else is too. The RIG 800HD or HS though to me are king of wireless and the Sennheisers are king of wired.
  15. You will love it! Also for your question on the settings for the mousepad type: http://support.logitech.com/en_za/article/Surface-tuning-your-gaming-mouse?product=a0q3100000AQ5IFAA1 Same for all their stuff~
  16. After using QCK (my go to for emergencies but they are kinda thin and get dirty easy), MM300 (the grey scheme makes it less prone to looking gross, its thicker, and really nice), and some razer pads I have to say the MM300 has held up the most and its tracking is pretty good. There is no real "wrong" between the MM300, QCK, or even stuff like the Roccat Taito. Logitech has done carp for tuning...the software has options to select kind of mousepad you have for best accuracy its up to you if you want hard mousepad for speed or cloth one for precision. Heck even my $1 and $8 fake overwatch mousepads track fine so its mostly marketing.
  17. Going from 128 to even 256 was freeing but with so many games 512GB and now even 1TB have felt...small. I would go to a 512GB SSD max right now though and stick to the EVO unless you are a MLC junkie because of lifespan. Though right now you can get Micron 2TB SSD for $350 so maybe -that- may be better option in M.2 format unless your a creative professional NVMe wont really show its benefits. EG: On Desktop I have 1TB 960 Pro + 3 normal HDDs and then on laptop I have 512GB Plextor M8PeG, 2TB Micron 1100 and 2TB Firecuda.
  18. Doesn't exist. With linux bootloaders and bios settings its a un-needed redundancy and to do one properly you would be destroying school property.
  19. You need to find a SSD that fits in the WWAN M.2 port thats the only free slot on the board (42MM)
  20. What you are wanting to do is dual boot. but since it will not be on same drive I would just find the key for lenovo which lets you select which drive to boot from (Either F1 or F12 for that unit I think) but there is only one slot which is for 80mm M.2
  21. Granted, Except everytime you use it the cockpit access is locked behind a credit card reader that requires you to pay $100,000 due to insurance reasons. I wish I could just be lazy and everything just instantly happened when I needed it.
  22. From what I/we know... Viceroy is under investigation by Germany for shortselling stock in this method. CTS Labs is new and white paper was done improperly, used stock photos for literally everything, and owners have stake in stock holding companies Trail of Bits or w.e thing is just unreliable, they got paid to say it was true. Anyone wanna give me teamviewer login? if I use it and make your wallpaper linus is that a security flaw? no.... Shortselling AMD due to stock performance is what they wanted to try and do. They have targeted (Viceroy) many other companies but I believe the Techtubers and everyone with brain cells to understand its bs has kept it from crashing in proper. Those who say its Nvidia countering AMD releasing GPP stuff is silly though...This is extremely sloppy and fake. Not only that but Aptio V is locked down insanely for boards that use it...good luck trying to flash a bios that wasn't signed with manufactures signature (Which is now done with internet connected tools). All it is is this... even if it dropped 27 cents a share they still could make a small profit depending on how many shares they dumped. Until we have proper research by companies NOT affiliated with CTS/Viceroy this all is just attack to lower stock...
  23. Banned because yoshi /probably/ bought us out of 120mm because only 80/92 is left and do you really want 80/92mm fans?
