  1. It is extremely hard to ask for a "gaming" pc for $800 aud, (thats 600 USD). For games for CS:GO any pc could basically run that... however GTA V lands on the other end of the spectrum, i have made a basic outline but really you should do your own research, you need to understand every part of a computer and make your own decisions on how much to spend and what you need. I feel if you could push your budget to maybe say, $1300 ish you would see a big performance increase. I am building my own pc atm and have been saving a long time for it, (i7 7700k, gtx 1070 ect). I dont see the point in making an $800 build but you do you man. $800 (excluding windows 10) https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/LjJmwV
  2. Thank you for the advice, the ram i was looking at was the well known corsair vengence (non-LED), this RAM went on sale recently and is actually cheaper! Plus it will look great through the tempered glass Because i can build the same PC at the same price with an i7 7700k and 1070 AMP! edition or an i5 6700k and 1080 AMP! edition, the first is the side i seem to be swaying to because i have a 1080p monitor, however my grandad has a 4k monitor someone bought him which he doesnt use...i may be acquiring that later Thank you! Thanks for the help but i am a bit of an intel fan boy...i looked at ryzen a lot and was very close to going with it but seeing i am not doing redering or other core/thread specific tasks i will go with an intel, but thanks! YEsss, i am waiting to see prices, maybe the 7700k will drop? we will see
  3. Hey guys, i needed some advise for my build which i am planning. I have the build set out as of now and was pretty sure i had decided on what I wanted/needed. I was going for a mid-high end gaming PC which will be uses probably 90 percent gaming and 10 percent work. Here are basic components : I7 7700k, Gtx 1070 Zotac AMP!, z270 asrock mobo and 16gb of ddr4 RAM or you can view it here: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/vCnFjc. Basically i had a last minute thought, prices down under in Australia have been going wack at the moment and i could switch to an i5 6700k and gtx 1080 for only about $50 dollars more (40 us). I didn't think any of the popular games at the moment would be bottle necked by an i5 6700k, therefore considered this. Could i have some help as to which setup would perform better? Thanks in advance.
