  1. I am trying to look for a way to connect my old monitor to a new pc. The monitor does not have a hdmi output and only has vga. I have seen many old videos from like 2012 of people saying these cables are a scam. Could they have been fixed by now? Hence why they are still listed on Amazon and many other sites. That's the cable I'm trying to use. Will use it for my ps4's hdmi input and display it on my monitor. Thanks for your help.
  2. It goes away but if i try to click "Play" or "Settings" in the game menu itself, it reappears every time.
  3. I randomly decided to install all the Arkham games and all but one would run, Arkham Asylum. I'm running windows 10 pro 64bit so I see why compatibility would be an issue. I even verified the integrity of the game files through Steam and not a single issue was found. However, this pops up every time i try to run it: Specs: i5-7600k GTX 1050 ti 8GB ram 1TB hard drive
  4. Ok I see what your saying but look: regardless of the BIOS update being required, wouldn’t system fans, my cpu fan, and case leds turn on at least?
  5. Well according to the website, basically all CPUs up to i7 7700k require the same exact BIOS version so I don’t think the update is needed. What really is critical is that the PSU won’t even power anything on the motherboard, not even LEDs. But this makes no sense because I tested it and it worked.
  6. So I just got my new i5 7600k on a H110M Gigabyte motherboard (yes I know, bad pair up) and set everything up. As I switch on my Corsair 430W power supply, nothing happens, not even a buzz or fan spin. Prior to the CPU upgrade, I had Pentinum G4400 and everything worked fine. I even did the paper clip method where you connect the green and black wires on the 20/24 pin connector to see if the PSU fan even works. And it did, I even tried using the molex to connect a random fan and it worked. However everytime I connect everything to the motherboard nothing happens. Please help! system: Mobo: gigabyte h110m-m.2 cpu: i5 7600k gpu: gtx 1050 ti ram: 1x8 gb Ballistix (micron) psu: Corsair 430w
  7. Well, isn't Coffee Lake 8th generation? If it is then my motherboard won't support it's only 6th and 7th gens.
  8. I'm thinking about buying an i7 7700k from ebay to save some money. Most people wouldn't recommend buying an i7 for an H110m motherboard because of the lack of overclocking. I currently do not want to buy a z270 motherboard so I'd like to know if I would need to update the BIOS or not. I currently do not have a Skylake cpu with me to do the update. However, on the Gigabyte website states that all of the supported CPUs require the SAME BIOS version. This basically means I wouldn't need to update. Can someone please revise the information and make sure I'm not making a mistake before buying an i7, thanks. Here is the link to the specifications the motherboard: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-H110M-M2-rev-10#support-cpu
  9. I recently purchased an Intel i5 6600k cpu for my custom built pc from eBay. I know that many people stray away from buying used pc parts but I'm currently on a low budget and needed to save the 100+ dollars from buying on eBay. The cpu came in and appears to damaged. The seller told me he hasn't used it in a year because he upgraded but was certain that the cpu still works fine. One of the edges has a very tiny part of the chip "lifted up" or "cracked," as if a rail of a train track was moved slightly to the side. However, even after manually resetting the BIOS and CMOS, the system shows no boot up or any type of signal. Every fan and led works correctly so I know the PSU is not the problem. The motherboard just won't boot up no matter how many times I try. The circled picture shows where the chip is cracked on. No other part of the CPU looks damaged. Please let me know if the cpu does not work and I'll have to contact the seller for a refund/return. Thank you. 10. Did I just murder my Intel Core i5 6600k? I recently just bought an i5 6600k processor (yes I know it's pretty old now) and grew impatient waiting for my Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo heat sink to arrive. All I did was install the CPU into the motherboard and powered on without any type of cooler. After 30 seconds of no BIOS screen or any type of boot up, I shut it down. I then later went on to read forums about people doing the exact same. Apparently attempting to start a pc without a heatsink installed can either fry the cpu or motherboard in "seconds." I find this extremely ridiculous how something so expensive can be destroyed in a matter seconds. The cpu and cpu socket appear to be fine. Please let me know if I just killed it or I still have a chance using it with the heatsink installed. (I apologize to all the pc experts that I disappointed doing this stupid mistake)
