  1. My power supply just died. That would make sense because the drive was getting power from the PSU.
  2. I have pretty much done all of this. I don't think it is a motherboard issue because my computer wouldn't pretty much be in a non-functioning state from changing SATA to ACHI from RAID.
  3. I'd say check the boot order and make sure that it is still booting off the normal HD.
  4. They do have a free one, it is the lite version. They cover it with ads though.
  5. Go to your Chrome extensions and remove anything you don't recognize.
  6. Specs: Asus Maximus Formula V Intel Core i7 2600k G.Skill 32GB 1333Mhz RAM Seagate 2TB Secondary drive OCZ 120GB Vertex 2 SDD OCZ 120 Vertex 3 SSD Alright, so let me begin by explaining the amount of anger I currently have was previously thought to be unobtainable. Let me give you guys a quick run down of what happened. Lets go back to a few months ago, my RAID array just decided to fail (RAID 0) and my Vertex 3 wasn't seen by the BIOS. I somehow fixed this and went on with my life with a new install of Windows 8. Everything was fine. This morning I was attempting to boot OSX 10.6.7 on my desktop so I could help my friend with installing OSX on his machine. I kept getting kernel panics so I went into the BIOS and changed my SATA mode from RAID to ACHI. After that I kept getting kernel panics, so I went and switched it back to RAID and gave up. The only issue was that my RAID array failed (which it shouldn't of, because I have turned off RAID with the drives connected before). So, I attempted to getting it working, but I couldn't. I said screw it and deleted the array and created a new one. The only issue was that after I deleted it my Vertex 3 wasn't appearing anymore. I rebooted my computer and it still wasn't there. I then used the power switch on the back of my power supply for a quick shut off and then turned it back on and what do you know, my drive is back. I then go and create the RAID array and it's all good. I try to boot into my Windows 8 disk but it kept getting stuck at the Windows 8 logo and I would have to force reboot it. I tried Windows 7 and it installed no problem. I tried Windows 8 again and this time I would just get a black screen. After that it kept telling me that Windows 8 was corrupt and I needed the install disk to repair the installation. I then unplugged both of my SSDs and kept my Secondary drive in and it kept saying this. The only issue with is that there is only 1 partition on the Secondary drive which is just files, no Windows install. I unplugged my Secondary drive and then tried my SSDs again. I was still getting the black screen. I went to my laptop and burned another ISO of Windows 8 and booted into the disk on my laptop to see if the disk worked. It did and then I went to my desktop and booted the disk. I was able to get into the disk and get to the part where I select my disk. It told me that it was not able to install Windows on the disk. Nothing else, no error, NOTHING. This didn't help me resolve it what so ever. I then unplugged my Vertex 3 and switched to ACHI to attempt to install Windows on my Vertex 2. I booted into the disk, but I once again got the same error. I then unplugged my Vertex 2 and plugged in my Vertex 3. You guessed right, Windows gave me the same error when trying to install. I then booted into my GParted disk and formatted both drives to NTFS. I then booted into the Windows install disk to try to install on either and got another error. It was "0x80300024", so I Googled it and it told me that I need to unplug any SATA devices besides my DVD drive and the drive I wanted to install Windows on. I did that and I kept getting the error, no matter which SSD was in use. Here I am now not knowing what to do at 1:30AM livid that my computer hates me. Seriously, if anyone can provide me some insight I would appreciate it. I don't even know what to do at this point. My Arizona ice tea and the Beatles are the only thing keeping me sane right now. Oh, and sorry for the little essay I wrote here.
  7. I currently have the Bose IE2 earbuds, but I am looking to upgrade to something of higher quality and something that is true in ear. I wouldn't want to spend more than $200. Any suggestions? :P
  8. No post. Fans wont even start to spin.
  9. It was the only way I could remove the standoff. It was attached to the back of the motherboard basically.
  10. Mobo: BIOSTAR A960D+ Processor: AMD 1045T RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB BLS8G3D1609ES2LX0 Graphics card: AMD 6670 Power supply: Corsair 430CW I just got my parts today and I built it and it wouldn't boot. Legitimately no power. I reused the processor from a build that failed a few months back. It was either the processor or the motherboard that died on me, but I had no was of testing as I didn't have another AMD processor. I would of instantly thought it was the processor that died, but I ended up scrapping the bottom of the motherboard PCB with pliers while trying to remove the motherboard standoff that got removed when I tried removing a screw. Would that of stopped the motherboard from booting or should I purchase another processor? Thanks.
  11. I already have. The indicator light has been on the entire time.
  12. The motherboard as power. The indicator light is powered on. I attempt to power the computer on. Nothing. No fan jolt, nothing. Legitimately nothing happens. It just sits there.
