  1. Thank you I have just ordered a new PSU should come tomorrow
  2. Yeah I was thinking that I have read multiple things online though and with all the different advice it gets confusing haha, thank you for the advice.
  3. Sorry it's the MSI GTX 1080 8GB, i'm from the UK. Preferably do not want to spend more than £100 and as you have likely already gathered not as clued up on this as I want to be haha. I have looked at a few Corsair PSU's in particular the RMX & TMX series and noted on some they only have 2x 6pin at the back and I think it needs an 8 pin also?
  4. Hi All, I have just bought a GTX 1080 not realising I need more than the 6+2 pin which is on my current non-modular 400W PSU. (I know I am stupid) I want to buy a 600-750W Modular power supply preferably with 80+ Gold rating which will go with this, I believe I need both the 6 pin and 8pin to power that sexy thing. All recommendations would be really appreciatted!! Thank you in advance
  5. Got them working, I stupidly thought they were both plugged in fully. Nearly flashed my GPU Bios and everything haha
  6. It is both the monitors which are not working, I have ordered two new cables anyway just incase however I would be unlucky to have 2 defective cables, sorry I should have mentioned that in my post.
  7. Hi All, I have recently purchased 2x Acer Predator z321qu 31.5 monitors and I am unable to get either of them to work using displayport connectors, I can use them with HDMI however I want to get the performance benefits with display port. I have updated the drivers for both GPU & Monitors Switched to high performance then tried the above again Turned them off including power and left only DP plugged in then powering back on System Specs: GTX 1060 6GB Aero - Bios Version - 86.06.63.00.CE Intel i5-8400 H310M Pro-VD (MS-7B33) I have looked online and it advises to flash my GPU and update to a newer VBios however I am unsure if my current one is up to date and I will be honest I am not an advanced user If anyone has any advice it would be most welcome!! Thank you
  8. Thanks for the advice, can anyone recommend a 1080p monitor with G Sync which is also larger than 27inch?
  9. Hi, I want to buy the Acer Predator Z321QUbmiphzx 31.5 Inch monitor however it is 1440p. I have read online it can make it blurry and I do not want to get a 27inch monitor would like something close to but not bigger than 32inch. Has anyone got any good advice? Thank you
  10. Nice one guys i'm really new to this so it is much appreciatted i'm going to look up Ryzen CPU's now!
  11. Hi first time joining this forum so sorry if its in the wrong section, yes I live in the UK
  12. Hi, I'm new to PC building and I am coming from a PS4 console to PC, I have tried to learn by watching Youtube videos but I am struggling to find all the right parts does anyone think the below is any good or can anyone see any mistakes with what I may buy? CPU - INTEL I5 6600K, MOBO - ASUS Z170 GAMING PRO GPU - MSI GTX 1060 GPU OR A 1070 CPU COOLER - COOLER MASTER HYPER 212X CASE - NZXT S340 BLACK POWER SUPPLY - UNKNOWN RAM - UNKNOWN KEYBOARD - CORSAIR K95 PLATINUM CURRENT TV - 32INCH SONY BRAVIA KDL-32RD433 CURRENT MOUSE - RAZER DEATH ADDER CHROMA Does anyone have any advice in regards to this E.G do they work together or would anyone recommend anything different? Does anyone also recommend a decent 32inch monitor for this build? I'm used to a and do not want to have to get used to a smaller screen even if it is much better. I mainly just want to game at 1080P i'm not currently bothered about 4K and would rather focus more on high FPS at 1080P or maybe 1440P when/if I get a high end monitor. My budget is between £800 - £1200 excluding peripherals I will try to buy most things around Christmas time in the hopes I may find better deals. *I understand the GPU can't use SLI not certian if I would actually need/want two. Thanks in advance!
