  1. It takes a lot of moving it around to get as much out as possible.
  2. When people call their computer, the case and its contents, the CPU.
  3. Noise level of a PSU doesnt really have much to do with capacity. Some power supplies are quiet , some are noisy. There are many power supplies that will be near silent even under full load, and there are large capacity power supplies that sound like a jet engine even under small loads.
  4. I realize this thread is almost a year old. However I am posting this in order to help clarify anybody searching through the forums (as I was) for info on monitors. You are answering a different question than he is asking, or if you are not, you are answering incorrectly. He is asking what difference is between the PG278QR and the PG278Q, And I believe you thought he was asking the difference between the PG279Q and the PG278QR. To answer the question he was asking, The difference between the PG278QR and PG278Q is that the PG278QR is a TN panel, while the PG278Q is an IPS panel.
  5. While you are correct, TN does have better response times, it usually isnt a considerable difference. I personally prefer IPS, and would pay a considerable amount more for the same panel in IPS. That being said, If you it came down to getting a TN panel w/ G-sync or a IPS model without it, I would probably go with the TN G-sync. If you can afford to get an IPS panel w/G-sync, I would go that route.
  6. You can overclock the 1070 ti too. In some places the price difference is bigger than $30, and when overclocked the 1070 ti will get very close to the 1080 in performance.
  7. I think with a name like that, the profile pic is a necessity
  8. Ah come on, how can your name be rapesloth but you dont have the litte furry rapist as your profile pic?!
  9. You mean like toll roads? Where you pay to go faster on a better road?
  10. The H7 actually outperforms the 212 EVO. Only by a few degrees, but it does outperform albeit slightly.
  11. Yes....and 41x2=82...and 72 is near 82.
  12. Oh I can only imagine. The best ones usually aren't.
  13. I think you may want to look into how all this works a little more, before you start overclocking. Overclocking, when done right, is rarely something that you can just throw together. You generally have to do a fair amount of going back and forth between tinkering and stress testing. With your GPU, as long as you allow it max power draw, it will do most of the work for you. You can squeeze a little more performance by turning up the clock offset, or bump up the memory speed via the offset. Most 1080ti cap out around 2063mhz. I've seen some get up in the 2.1ghz range, I've got mine at 2126mhz. 5.0ghz is probably attainable with that chip, but again it's not something you're going to be able just to plug some numbers in and call it good, to get stability there's a lot of back and forth between adjusting clock settings and stress testing.
  14. Anyone know of any good crews for grinding on gta online? For PC.
  15. You sure do get a lot of knives lol. Is this a hobby or a business?
  16. Right, I wouldn't recommend mining on your personal system unless shorter part life isnt a concern. Most of the people I know are running seperate rigs, generally barebones for the most part and I don't personally know any miners that are only running one card. If you don't have the spare parts laying around, than there is an initial investment that is required which would vary depending on what you want to mine and how much you want to make a month, as well as card availability. Stock has gotten a little better and there were a lot of good deals on cards that mine well over BF/CM. Setup is simple, even if you don't use a service like nicehash. Whether or not it is worth it to an individual would really mostly depend on the amount of initial investment required if they dont already have the parts and that significance of the amount compared to that person's finances.
  17. Are you under your employer's organization lcense? If so, just ask your I.T. personell for the new Windows Key.
  18. Maybe for mining bitcoin. There are plenty of other cryptocurrencies that can either be mined or forged that are more profitable. You're not going to get rich but you could easily make an extra $40 bucks a month after accounting for power costs. Some user have one or multiple graphics card that are not in use to, so they dont have to worry about any initial investment costs.
  19. My CPU usage hasnt changed any, cant attest to what happens when you visit the site, I have javescript disabled so It sounds like it would block it.
  20. Acer Swift 3 looks alright, It is capped at 8gb of DDR4-2133, but it's dual channel.
  21. Ice melts at 0°C. In fact, 71°C is nearly twice the temperature at which human cells begin to die at. ????
  22. I would use Primochill's AdvancedLRT Tubing if you're going soft tube.
  23. Definitely go with either a Noctua or a Dark Rock Pro.
  24. If you want to go better than a 1070 but you dont want the 1080 ti, I would go with a 1070 ti over a 1080.
  25. I'm running my 7700k (with a delid, obviously a big factor) 5.1ghz @ 1.41v, under a custom loop. Running prime95, My max temperature last time I ran it was 64, and my average temp was closer to 55. Granted, that was definitely not the case with my 6700k, I had to push that thing to 1.395v to keep it stable at 4.7ghz. Pushing the voltage any further than that and I would start getting temps up to 90 degrees. I won't run an overclock that gets me temps over 80C in prime95 so I left it at 4.7ghz. I do sometimes wonder what I would have been able to do with that chip with a delid, although I dont think it would be nearly as big a factor as with the 7700k. It is also worth noting that when I first got the7700K I would hit 80 under load at stock speeds. I sent it off to silicon valley the next day, for the delid as well as the frequency testing.
