  1. Someone advised me to check the CSM setting in bios and make sure it is disabled since the boot drive is GPT, that fixed it. Thanks for answering though.
  2. Hello and thank you to anyone who can help. I have an "older" computer that my mother uses and I had used macrium reflect to go to a new drive when she needed more space. I went from a 240GB Samsung SSD to a 500GB M.2 SATA SSD. Now, even if I use the old drive, the PC will be unable to boot into windows, requesting that a boot media be inserted. However, if you go through the BIOS and tell it to force boot from a drive, it has a selection that is completely blank, and if you select it, it will boot into Windows. I'm assuming that that is supposed to be Windows Boot Manager, but it is blank for whatever reason.... The specs are as follows Intel i5-6600k GTX 1050 Gigabyte Z170N-Wifi Rev 2.0 16GB DDR4 (currently left at stock cpu speeds until I can figure this out) The bios is 22F, the latest. The Boot drive is the only drive attached and is set to GPT. Any advice to fix this is greatly appreciated. -Kiyo SOLUTION: Someone on Discord mentioned I should check the CSM settings and since the drive is GPT, make sure it is disabled. That fixed it.
  3. So this may sound really silly, but I totally about a week ago was looking to see why I didn't see anything was running for COVID research and realized all my computers I had set up for BOINC about a year ago... I'm pretty high up there on a few of them on the LTT team, like World Community Grid, and GPU Grid, but I swapped them all over to folding@home *facepalm*
  4. Heya guys, Not sure if anyone was waiting for it, but the last time I heard, Lian-Li's new Unifan design was supposed to come out "Q2 2020." That was last reported in CES this january before COVID really took off over at their factory area. So I though, hey, why not send a message and see if they would tell me either an updated release window or maybe even a date. You can read the correspondence below, but spoiler alert, they said release window is now Q3 2020 and that they were at 100% at the factories. Message sent to them Hello, I have searched online about any information regarding the release date of your uni-fan concept last shown at CES 2020, and the last information heard was Q2 of 2020. Now that we are entering Q2, considering the increased impact of COVID-19 to most factories and distribution, is that still so? Also, if you are able to share at this time, a more narrow release window? Thank you kindly for your time and any information you are able to share. Sincerely, *REDACTED* ---------- Reply back from them Hello *REDACTED*, Uni-fan is the new product that will be launched in Q3 J Our factory in China affected by COVID-19 in Feb. But we already back to work with 100% capacity in the middle of March J Thanks! Best Regards, Sandy Chen TEL: *REDACTED* FAX: *REDACTED* Skype: *REDACTED* www.lian-li.com
  5. Anyone know why on Extreme overclocking forum website, my stats are shown as 0 for the last year or so. I've been folding in the interim on and off.
  6. Well, to be honest, it is more of thought exercise than anything. I have an CM H500M case with a 400x200 rad in front, and will have a 280 rad on top as well soon, no plans on getting that beautiful beast at the moment.
  7. It is less performance and more the fact that the life giving fluids are running from hoses out of my computer to something unanchored to the case. XD
  8. I guess that is fair, just makes me nervous having a radiator "loose" from the case itself.
  9. Hello fellow nerds. I have a question that has been bothering me and haven't been able to get a very clear answer from anyone. What is the difference between for example a GTX 1050Ti that uses the GP106 vs GP107? I know that there is different amounts of rendering stuff with the GP106 having more. GP106 has a quite a bit more Shading units (1280 vs 768), TMUs (80 vs 64), and ROPs (48 vs 32). I also know that GP106 is TSMC 16nm with a density of 22M and the GP107 is 14nm Samsung with a density of 25M. What does this mean for Gaming performance and/or video decoding/encoding? As a general rule, I've thought the higher density is USUALLY better performance, but its the "same" product. so did they trade amount of units for density to reach a relative performance parity? That being said, both Nvidia and AMD have released cut down versions of their cards under the same name with little differntiation so is this simply one of those cases where GP107 is the "same" product but a cut down version? Thanks to any illumination anyone can offer.
  10. Shame that caselabs went out of business. *sad panda* That's a good point, their Core system does give a lot of flexibility with this!
  11. So, can't really find the information out there one way or the other, so I ask you all: Is there a case that fits the MORA3? I would think it would fit as like a side panel. My thoughts if there isn't, is if there would be a way to mod a case to be able to have it replace the side panel. I imagine that would replace any need for any other fans in the case mind you, and unfortunately would take any possibility of a looks focused case (probably). but being able to have such a ridiculous amount of cooling all combined in a single case would be rather nice. One possible way to mod this onto there would be to find a case where you can slide the side panel off of a hinge like system and then move the hinges onto the MORA3 itself. Anyone else have any ideas?
  12. Hey guys, was hoping maybe someone knows a way to fix this. I currently have my computer with MSI Mystic Light manager and I was wondering if there is a way to let the Trident Z RGB ram run its normal unmanaged light cycling. Mystic light has a version of it but it syncs all of the sticks up and looks much more clunky then just letting the ram sticks do its thing. Any suggestions?
  13. Forth the time being, I have it locked to 50%, My motherboard won't let me do anything but 25% increments, so yeah. Its fine, I is more because in my current case it is also the intake so I wanted it to be able to increase speeds a bit. But that won't be a problem soon with the new case I got. =D
  14. Hmmm, thank you!, I may be forking the money for an ASUS board whenever the X570/X590 boards come out
  15. At that price point,is there any reason why I shouldn't just go with the NH D15S or NH D15?
  16. Thanks for replying, I am actually planning on using Corsair's iCue setup, considering I have a bunch of Corsair stuff already. Have an MSI B450M Mortar Motherboard
  17. Hey guys, Was looking at what CPU cooler to get for a new build and was looking for input as to what would be the best Air CPU cooler. Looking at https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103265 Though depends on if it fits with the RAM, anyone have any other suggestions? I am pretty open to changing it.

  19. Well, there was two connectors on the GPU board, one was a 2 Pin for the RGB light I'm assuming (it was right next to where the lighting was on the cooler) and then a mini 4 pin, which the GPU cable extension from EKWB fit, so I plugged it into that. I have for the mean time plugging it back directly into MB and set static speed. Annoying. Still want to fix this.
  20. I have also messaged EKWB tech support, but any other ideas would be welcome, because I wouldn't be surprised if they blame it on the GPU with no solution.
  21. I did, to no avail, even tries using MSI Afterburner, no fix.
  22. Heya guys, I have an EKWB block on my GPU with a 280mm radiator from their MLC Phoenix line. Now I got the extra PWM cable that can attach to GPU a couple weeks later and now the fans and pump are cycling from OFF to very fast for no reason. doesn't matter if I put it under load (GPU gets REALLY hot and throttles) or is idle and at a cool 30-35C. Anyone know anything I can do besides just plugging it back to my motherboard and setting a static speed again? I forgot to mention, I have an EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC Black Edition as well.
  23. 59, whoop whoop! Though I would have been okay with 69 too. Ay Oooooo!
