  1. Mixing and matching old ram is fine, just ensure the speeds/CL is as close as possible to the existing stuff
  2. Do me a favour, PM me, LTT forums is being troublesome about uploading and downloading files
  3. Personal opinion: A GPU upgrade (while they are still reasonably priced) would be an easy upgrade, to something like a 3060 ti or so, but I"m not sure what the PSU is in the pre-built.
  4. Thank you, it's helpful. Now upload the crash dump files here please
  5. If memtest didn't find bad RAM, then the RAM isn't bad. as to what else...could be a bad CPU, or a borked BIOS setup. Reset BIOS to default, not sure why crash dumps are not being created, is your drive out of space?
  6. Yes, please upload those to your next post, I can deconstruct them and see what's going on
  7. Are you certain the mobo supports such large sticks? Remember, these boards are chinese salvage systems and the chipsets may not see that. Try a single stick, or something smaller in size, if you have it
  8. memtest is the Gold Standard to testing RAM, but it needs at least 1 complete pass, which can take many hours. That should be accurate, if the system is crashing and not creating the files, you have bigger issues
  9. Depends on how they are configured, but look here for instructions: https://www.technlg.net/windows/windows-crash-dump-memorydmp-file/ Also, need GPU, hard drive, OS (and version)
  10. Welcome to LTT, please upload here the mini crash dumps that Windows creates, it'll help in troubleshooting. Also list full system specs
  11. You miss the point (I think) it's about the time in between the allegation and the lawsuit, rather than the severity of the allegation. My original point was aimed at those who wondered/doubted why it had taken so long for Madison to come forward. THat is all.
  12. You can (if your system will stay up) configure this to collect BSoD data
  13. To those wondering why Madison had not brought this up before, may I remind you of a certain ex-US president who has only now (rather many years after the event) been brought up on SA charges...trauma takes time to process and fear needs time to be overcome
  14. ....yet Madison could be the first to speak up for all the rest too afraid to.
  15. The codes don't help, what I'd need are the mini crashdumps from the BSoDs, but I"m with @-rascal- non-repeating errors are a sure sign you have bad RAM (or a really whacked out BIOS config)

Linus, you cannot keep doing this. Every word y…

The question is...can they Can they sacrifice quantity (and thus..revenue) for ethics? Most companies cannot do that, it's money above all else. And honestly I don't see LTT rising above and doing the right thing.

It'll take more than a week off to fix this mess
  18. I would say more of an ethics team is needed, but wording on that may be splitting hairs
  19. I've done it. I did not enjoy the sensation of suffocation in free fall (where the air is forced into your nose faster than you can process it) but once the chute opened, it was a delightful experience.
  20. There are a number of options. Enjoy the forum (it's not half bad, actually) and dump the YT channel Dump everything associated with LTT Forgive, but be on guard if it happens again Start your own channel (this is not snark...while the tech field is crowded, there is always room for another take)
  21. And that's it in a nutshell really. It's killed bigger and better companies in the past.
