So today at work we had a Chili contest.

Last year I won the hottest category (Carolina reapers for the win) and this year I wanted to make something different....

 

So I made a fruit-based chili.

Pork, pears, plantains, cranberries, pineapples, apples, dates, all soaked for days in Bourbon,

 

Didn't win, but it was proof enough for me that a fruit-based chili does work.
