depending on finances , I would either get a new rig (mobo, cpu, Gfx) or just get a new gfx , as that is the best bang for buck when it comes to games. The cpu will hold you back but not as much as your Gfx. Play at lower resolutions eg 720p (the horror, the horror) Gif Killgore .. its not as bad as you think. Most gfx are still integrated intel .

For games oveclocking the IGPU rather than the CPU would yield the best benefits. Oveclocking the rRAM should be ok , its just that when these boards and ryzens came out first the "agesa" memory tidings were very sketchy. Now thats all sorted out and your ram should fly at a higher speed 3200 if possible or evem 3800mhz SOTTR is known to be quite heavy , in places. I wouldnt worry about the "life" of your CPU .. who uses 7 year old CPu?

yes its very easy tp do ..the problem is you will need BOTH drives to wiped clean (of data, not with a cloth). Do you want this array to be your boot drive? RAID 0 under windows is a piece of non fattening cake BUT it wont allow the raid 0 to be a boot drive. What is the purpose of your raid 0 , as ANY sata ssd will blow it out of the water in speed. A lot of whingers will say no no your head will blow up if you mix new and old , but I have found HDD to be pretty robust. Had 2x wd black RAID0 for over five years , worked like a charm.

how do you get an overclock on 1070 mini, arrived at thru firestorm, to be applied at bootup without using firestorm, as its quite a slow program...cant seem to see anything

take out one stick of ram and test with just one stick in both of the ram sockets .. I presume 2 x8gb ? ar run your system with the sides off so there is no heat build up ...try running unigine benchmark for 4 hours on max settings and furmark later

what GPU's ? whats the other ventilation ...nothing wrong with sfx PSU they free up some space , but they tend to be about 40% more expensive than their equivalent ATX

Crossfire is very sketchy and doesn't scale well in some games , most games wont even recognize it. Same for Nvidia solution , not really recommended these days.. Sell your existing card and get a vega 56 , they should be real cheap, real soon. Plus your PSU may not be up to owering two 580 and an overclocked CUP.

Yes use a disk utility to get your files ..sounds like your PC can see the initial system partition but not the rest of the disk. As from win8 a tiny system part is installed at the beginning of the disk (100mb). Thats why its good to have seperate partitions (Drive letters, say C and D) so that you keep all your data on D and just backup that when necessary
