You had me at 42 inches, 1080P 120 HZ, low input lag, good colors, 1:4 image scaling, and Freesync (better have LFC)! I've been looking for a new display and that's everything I want in one and freaking NO ONE MAKES IT! I reached out to a few companies that make custom Monitors and not even they would make a display with these specs for me.

Whenever I play games or in this instance running Unigine Heaven benchmark my GTX 780 stays in the 70C temperature and lower 90% power ranges instead of going up around the 95C temp limit and 105% power limit I have it set to. My first guess would be a lack of power but I'm using a Corsair CX750, and when I have my PC hooked up to a power meter it only uses around 450 Watts total when running demanding games so there should be power to spare for more overclocking. Any ideas as to what's going on?

Here's a screenshot of my second screen where I display GPU and CPU stats while Dying Light is running on my main screen. GPU usage dropped because of screenshot otherwise it's 99%. My problem is that I want to overclock my card more but I'm limited by power consumption, not because I do not have enough power but because my card will not get near or above the power limit despite thermal headroom. The max temp limit on a GTX 780 is about 100C. I plugged my PC into a power monitor and my system is only using 450 Watts during gameplay. I have a CX750m Cosair PSU so there's power headroom as well. I have the volts, temp, and power limit set to max. If i turn the core clock anymore than +10 I get crashes, so why won't my card just draw more power and run faster because it has the headroom to do so? I have yet to see my card get above 80C or power consumption go above 80%. Instead it should draw 105% power and overclock more.

Yeah I'm testing one stick at a time now, but I think there's some way to coorelate error address values to physical RAM slots I just don't know how. Edit: Wouldn't be returning RAM, just trying to be efficient and smart about troubleshooting.

I'm running Memtest 86+ to check my RAM and I'm getting errors. Looking at the results does it indicate which memory sticks specfically are producing errors? How do I interpret these results? thank you

This is the router/modem I have: http://www.actiontec.com/264.html I'm running cat5e wiring and I do not share my Network with anyone else. I have centurylink 40Mbps down and 5Mbps up. In my favorite game, Chivalry Medieval Warfare, the best active and closest servers I get ping of around 80-100ms. When I'm playing against other players with ping in the <40ms range I get wrecked, their reaction times feel so much faster. Due to the nature of the game ping and reaction time make a big difference in winning or losing.

Is there anything I can do with my NIC, router, or modem settings to get better ping in the online games I play? Other than the usual "turn off torrents, reset router, turn off AV." I'm looking for advanced tweaking tips here. If so what do I do and how please? Thanks

Both of the ASUS ultrabooks have a GTX 850m which is very gaming capable, the 850m is actually faster than a 760m.

I had crossfire 7850s for about a year, and it was a love-hate relationship. It was either a great experience or an absolute nightmare, all depending on the game. With well supported games like Bioshock Infinite and Tomb raider it was fantastic, the scaling of adding a second card was >90%, the game ran very smooth, and no crashes. However, when it was games with no crossfire support..... My favorite game Chivalry Medieval Warfare was a nightmare with Xfire, it has zero support from both AMD and the Dev. With Xfire the game has frame rate issues, horrendous micro stutter, and each GPU was never utilized above 50% AND the frame rate was low (20s-40s). The final straw was Titanfall, right after I saw the artifacting with Xfire I ordered a GTX 780 and have not looked back. It's been fixed since, but I don't want to encounter issues like this ever again. Sure you can disable one card for games that are not supported, but that's bullshit. Having one card sit there being useless because the developer is too incompetent to support Xfire is infuriating.

So my laptop randomly started having Wi-Fi issues. When I connect to my home wireless at first it says "no internet" then after about 5 minutes it finally gains internet access but it is very slow. On Speedtest.net it scores 3Mb/s whereas my desktops (also running wireless) run around 35Mb/s. The Laptop is an Alienware M11X R2 on it there's this program called DW WLAN utility and it has a diagnostics I can run. When I run it it usually fails on the Internet IP ping test and sometimes on the Gateway IP ping test. What's funny though, is my laptop connects and runs perfect on the WiFi at my University, despite it still failing the Gateway and/or the Internet IP ping test. So far what I have tried to fix it is: - Reset my router - Restore the router to factory defaults - Restart my laptop - Uninstall and reinstall the wireless driver for my laptop Help me please! The 8320 is a great choice! and yes since both the PS4 and Xbox are using 8-core AMD CPUs you'll be in good shape. Also, I run an FX-6350 at 4.6 GHz and it doesn't bottleneck my GTX 780.

HW monitor should work, it's strange that it doesn't. My best guess is that the MSI program is giving you the socket temp because in my experience with motherboard monitoring programs they give only the socket temp.

He's running an AMD FX CPU not an Intel CPU, becareful on the advice you give out! 85C on an FX CPU would kill it quick if the system didn't auto shutdown for somereason (temp safties being turned off). For FX CPUs there are two temps you need to look at. Socket temp: safe range is up to 70C Core temp: usually referred to as 'package temp' by monitoring programs, the max for it is 62C As long as both those temps are at or below their maxes you're fine.

Alright so I figured it out, I needed to use the "offset mode" for adjusting the voltages in my BIOS settings rather than the "manual" way. Also I had to go into my power settings in the control panel and make the CPU "minimum processor state" 0%. Sad I didn't see anything about this after searching Google a lot so I'll make some tags. OP's build was pretty good, but this is just amazing price/performance right here. You're wrong, the i5-3570k is just slightly faster than the FX-6300 Passmark averages: i5-3570k: 7178 FX-6300: 6386 And don't give me that better single threaded performance crap, many many games will utilize every core evenly. Such titles are Far Cry 3, Crysis 3, Battlefield 3 and 4, Tomb Raider, Bioshock Infinite, all the Batman games, and a lot more. Mellow is right again, most games are heavier on the GPU, and you should spend more money on the PC if it is a gaming rig. OP if you were to get an i5-3570k you should pair it with a GTX 780 or better.

Hello, I'm overclocking on this motherboard and whenever I set the CPU Vcore voltage manually it just maxes it out all the time. I have Cool N' Quiet on and C1E on, the CPU ratio multiplier down clocks from x24.5 to x7.5 just fine. But the darn Vcore is always at 1.47 and never goes down. It makes my CPU run hotter than it needs to, uses excess energy, and makes my fans loud when I'm just typing a word doc. Please help! Thank you

Can you elaborate more on this, I want to learn. Wouldn't I probably hit a temperature limit before I would hit a power limit though, or no?

Man I'd love to have that but it's too expensive, and my PC is blue themed also.
