Hey there. I am after the cheapest 2.1 GPU for my music production computer. I am going to be running a LG C2 OLED 42inch TV. Whats the best option please. I will not be gaming whatsoever and just need something which will provide the hdmi 2.1. I may hook up my PS5 at a later stage if I wish to game on the display. Thank you. Mike.

Hi. The 3400G is the exact CPU ive been looking at. What MB do you suggest, ive been recommended to get an IPMI board but I dont really understand why this is important. Thanks.

sorry for my slow response. I just want a simple NAS / Media server to ber able to stream movies and have a main file backup centre. I'm looking to spend around £400 / 500 without drives and would like 4 drives in total. I wont want the unit to work as a standalone and will access it though the LAN only. I can add a montor for setup etc when required. Ive been looking at a Ryzen with 16gb ram and a MB of some description. Do I need to be looking for certain componants for this. This is where I get a bit lost and dont know what to use specifically for a NAS and media server. Thank you once again.

Hi folks. I would like to build a Nas for use as a network storage for the family, together with a media server for plex most likely. I have brrn looking at a few posts about building one instead of buying say a synology etc. I would like to try and future proof it with some decent specs, but would also like to keep it as small as possible. I was looking at the fractal node case as a starting point and ultimately want 4 x 4tb. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I can get all the knowledge and component suggestions etc. I'm fine at building computers so would thing this will be relitevely straight forward. Around a month ago I purchased a HP laptop from curry's being the one linked below. This is the second once I've had due to the first being replaced for noisy fans and a crap screen. To be fair it's a good unit but still has fan issues and the screen is quite poor. The specs are good but I know from looking that's these high rpm noisy fans are a massive issue. HP My Mrs has a Huawei Matebook D 2018 which she has always loved and I've admired. I've actually just taken delivery of the new Matebook D 14 2020 but have yet to open it. I ordered it so not to miss the free Huawei buds 3 which are worth £150. I can send this back for a full refund and obviously not claim the buds if I decide to keep the HP. Matebook 2020 I'm a little torn to which to keep. The HP is slightly better specs overall, but the Huawei is much more well build and good looking. The fans alone on the HP are annoying me, and thats really why at at this point. I want to run a few CPU intensive programs but nothing which would warrent a far better unit aside these 2. What do you think, should I keep the HP, or keep the new Matebook together with the free buds. I must admit the i5 1035G1 appears disappointing Upto now and seems to max out around 1.5ghz even after changing all settings possibly. Maybe HP have restricted things due to the fans and cooling issues. The other thing is that the HP is ram upgradable where the Matebook is not. I do wonder if 16gb would be good to help along with audio editing programs I will be using. Decisions decisions. Heart or head. I can send either back for a full refund. Thank you.

Ahh OK. So the ubiquiti all come with a POE in the box.

Yes I've seen the ubiquiti many times. Am I right in saying they cannot be powered my mains and have to be POE. I don't really understand all that poe stuff.

Hi. It has improved it from the standard Virgin Hub 3 which is renowned for being awful, but yes its not what I expected. How does a mesh work, is it not just a bunch of extenders. Sorry, I'm not up on the mesh tech. Thanks.

The msi 730 I have has a max resolution of 4068 x 2160. Would this be suitable for outputting to a single 43ish inch 4K tv. As I say no gaming will be done. Thanks.

Thanks folks. Don't need anything special for gaming etc. The msi 730 had dvi and hdmi do as long as the output will be sufficient for a decent HD output then that's cool. Not bothered about 4k for the computer output. Mike.

Morning folks. Just a quick one. Looking at getting a 43 inch 4k tv for my computer. Currently running 2 27 inch monitors from a simple gt730 2gb. Don't game so there's no concerns there. I'd there anything I will need or will the gt730 works OK. Not bothered about 4k as yet, just getting to futurproof and have the options for smart features etc. Thanks in advance. Mike.

Hi Folks. Sorry is this is a little confusing. I have 2 computers setup in my studio one being a desktop and one laptop. I have 2 monitors running from my desktop and one additional monitor running from the laptop as I just keep the laptop at the side of the room. the additional monitor for the laptop is a little difficult to see so I have been trying to find a solution. so....... What I want is the second monitor for the desktop to be switched between the second desktop monitor and the monitor for the laptop, but also require a constant feed from the laptop to the additional monitor (not either desktop monitor). I have purchased a hdmi doubler which is fed from the laptop. from the doubler I have a feed directly into the additional monitor and then a feed into a hdmi switch. I also have a feed from the desktop machine into the hdmi switch so I can always have that feed from laptop to additional monitor and then switch the second main monitor between the laptop and the desktop. All seems to work as expected but I have an issue with the additional monitor which is just jumping between analog and digital and wont settle on an input, otherwise working absolutely fine. everything is connected with HDMI with the additional monitor being fed with a HDMI to DVI as doesn't have HDMI. the converter works fine when not in this switch loop. I hope that makes sense and am lost to why the additional monitor doesn't work when being fed from the hdmi doubler. the doubler also works fine with other monitors. the monitor with issue is a Samsung 22'' syncmaster but cannot remember the model currently. Thanks mate I think its between the P400 and S340 Elite. Only thing I dont like abouit the P400 is the massive amount of space left towards the front of the case where those removable inserts are.

Still keep coming back to the S340 in white. Just don't think I want a black case. White grey or something

Hiya folks. Been looking at TG cases for the past week and am coming closer to a purchase. I have pretty much set myself on the S430 Elite at this stage. I Just want a simplistic smalish case for my pretty simple setup. I won't be LC but have a dark rock 3 on my Aurous Rgb MB with a ryzen 1600X. Want to show off those board lights but don't want a bling rig. I only really like the simple looking cases but want the full TG panel. Anything else you would suggest before making the purchase of the S340 elite. Thanks. Mike.

Hi folks. I have tried everything re clearing the CMOS and no joy. On the gaming 5 debug 90 states Phase transfer to BDS (Boot Device Selection) from DXE. I have seen somewhere that the F7 bios has been removed due to causing loads of voltage issues and destroying cpus etc. I updated to F7 the day before this. System is 3 months old and has been running pretty well to be fair. I litrally cannot do anything with it. It's currently a dead unit.
