  1. I am in need of a gaming laptop, below are the ones which im looking at. There arent many options since ill be purchasing it in India but any other input is appreciated. So i have been looking at the MSI GL65 9SDK with the 9750h, 1660ti, 16gigs of ram and 120hz display. I am mainly interested in this cuz of the cooling system, i would like to know about the build quality, is it good enough? I have seen reports of the hinge getting broke after some months. Also is the laptop lid and keyboard deck made of aluminium or plastic? cant find any information on that. The second laptop i see is the lenovo y740 with the same specs just a better(?) 144hz screen. Some people report that there are thermal throttling issues with it because of some bios update(?) or something and its throttling heavily. Is this problem fixed in 2020? There is also an option for Y540 and while it is cheaper i hear it doesnt have good thermal performance. There is also helios 300 but im not really a fan of the design....if that makes sense.
  2. it's a pretty decent game mode, however I'm not sure what to say on F2P
  3. Csgo relies on CPU more than GPU, 8700k will give alot more FPS (sometimes even 40%+) than the 2700x.
  4. 1070ti can be found for 40k in India, look around at mdcomputers or primeabgb
  5. This is something which I would get in that budget, but others may have some better opinions. 6. Thanks for doing this, was really helpful
  7. Depends on your use case man... I would personally get laptop cuz I don't want to carry around a cabinet, monitor, keyboard etc wherever I go.
  8. I don't think you can get that in the budget. I would suggest a Dell G7 with 1080p60hz, 8750h,1060,16gig of ram, which should cost around 1000-1100$. Screen isn't that good, you can get a 120hz panel off eBay for 100$.
  9. He needs it for uni, I don't think you will be able to take a whole PC with moniter etc everywhere.
  10. there's another one of those with a little more space for the cooler right?
  11. Hey, check out the dell outlet store, I kind of think you can get a better deal on an Alienware there, though they are refurbished ones, but worth a look.
  12. I don't think anyone will notice the difference between 120hz and 144hz, but if you are moving to either of them from a 60hz screens, then it will be obvious.
  13. They will work, I don't think you will see some noticeable difference though. Edit- just saw its a 32gb kit.
  14. No, just no. Your 1050ti is an entry level gpu which can handle 1080p low/medium AAA games, don't try playing with it on 1440p. And if you are going to spend money for a 1440p screen then get a gpu that is capable to push those frames at that resolution.
  15. 3gb vram is bad as the guy above said, also if you would just play pubg and other graphic demanding games, you should skip 120hz and get the full 6gb version. 120hz is fine but it's only good for eSports games, and you can't push that much FPS in pubg with a 1060. and tbh 7577 is a great laptop man, my brother owns it, I'm speaking from experience.
  16. 7577 is great but you will have to forget about the 120hz display
  17. I forgot the name of the software, but I'm sure there are some apps which let you remap the key to a new one. I don't know if they really work but yes, they do exist.
  18. Check out the dell G series and 15.6inch will be fine for you.
  19. Go with that dell, my brother owns 7577, it's great.
  20. Get the p650hp6 is you can, it's a little over your budget but it has great thermals. Or wait for the G series from dell, wait for them if you can.
  21. You can get dell 7577 for 950$ off Amazon
  22. Wait for reviews man, no one knows how good or bad the new XPS is yet.
  23. With that budget, 1050 ti is the most you can get, and it's not bad, it's fine.
