  1. Oh, I wasn't dismissing the people here from watching the video, I just thought it was good to create discussion on it.
  2. Mods, can we create a new post specifically for the discussion of the points outlined in this video?
  3. This literally just shows you didn't even read his comment or watched project farms video correctly. It has more changes than that, the ratchet mechanism is engineered by LTT as well so it's easier to do the ratcheting when screwing computer or other low force screws.
  4. It's profiting off of drama though, which they "said that's not the intention". But keep defending them. Also, the likelihood that the new viewers were viewers from the first video makes it so that NOW they're profiting off of them. But keep saying how one is an angel and the other is hell's spawn.
  5. Also PLEASE tell me how this wasn't a move by Gamers Nexus when looking at this information showing how literally GN gained almost the exact same number of subscribers that LTT lost: https://old.reddit.com/r/GamersNexus/comments/15tj6bh/ltt_subscriber_count_went_down_by_about_the_same/
  6. I'll give you evidence, your pall steve has one of the videos speaking about Linus monetized and getting millions and millions of views. I talk about this in the sub-reddit and you know what Steve's brigade said? "Oh, it's just hardware news, it has more content than linus so of course he can have monetization" Except the video is literally 50% talking about LMG again AND he wouldn't be getting those millions of views if it weren't for the drama they started! You can literally see here: https://reddit.com/r/LinusTechTips/comments/15ukf4n/since_everyone_piled_up_on_ltt_for_this_i_want_to/ Edit: And here's the difference with GN vs LTT, the mods from the LTT reddit removed the post while I'm betting GamersNexus reddit would never prevent any shitting on LMG.
  7. I mean, it's in history books. Look at what happens whenever the people revolt, it's probably gonna end in guillotines and heads rolling over. It's just sad we as humans cannot evolve past our bloody survival and primal instincts.
  8. if you rewatch the video, it's the oposite, he starts by explaining what prompted his dumb emotional response on the forum, he tried to minimize the complaint from Billet Labs saying "it only took 2 business days and Colton tried to do it(and failed miserably) on the 10th, way before any of this blew up" and THEN he starts by admitting he's getting emotional again, stops and apologizes for both the dumb response, for allowing the internet rage to cloud his judgement and emotions and essentially stopping him from accepting any fair criticism from GN and for not re-reviewing the monoblock again. Also he proceeds to explain what he will be doing during the week they'll be off. I feel like people, when watching the video, get so mad as soon as Linus shows up that they don't even hear him or as soon as they hear any of the stupid jokes.
  9. How would GN contacting LMG allow them to weasel out of this? You can still present your video full of criticisms and just say "We contacted LMG for a statement and they provided the following: [insert LMG statement here]. We hope LMG hears our concerns and addresses them soon."
  10. Except, you can? You can apologize for your actions and explain the logic behind them. Explaining the thought process behind a dumb response doesn't mean you're not regretting the action. You're apologizing for the response because you regret it and you're explaining what prompted it, that's it.
  11. Funny thing, I just went to download the video on Floatplane and apparently this is what the video file is called internally Not that I expected otherwise, it's just funny to see Gamers Nexus right there in the title
  12. And yet you fail to know that most of the driver isn't even sourced from MegaPro but sure man, keep going on about it.
  13. Did they ever tell you or advise you to buy that ridiculous stuff? Was it just a showcase or a proper review? Is it a feasible product? No, right? They never recommended folks buy ridiculous stuff and the Monoblock is just another ridiculous thing, that's it.
  14. They used YouTube tools to do it
  15. This is just a bad take in general. As a business owner, you always have to have money in your mind, because that's how you pay expenses, pay folks their living so they can live their life and support their families and keep the company afloat. Thinking a business man can't have money as focus is just a wrong take in today's capitalist society. Also, "HE SHOWED HIS TRUE COLORS", yeah, you try replying calmly on the Internet after being called thief and an evil villain by the whole of internet. Let's how well you fare then. Linus literally hired a CEO because he knows he's not the most calm and he's not the best at all at management. He does have some sense of self awareness.
  16. Hey, look at another person that didn't watch LMG's video where they clearly explain that Billet Labs not getting an offer was a mistake on Colton's part. Keep spreading mindless hate, kid.
  17. Imagine creating a forum account called "Crybaby Linus" just to basically come and spread hate. The fact here is that I watched the mouse video and fucking hell, even I would've missed that plastic since when you look at product pictures, the mouse feet are literally that same white color! You should at least print on the plastic saying "Remove me" or something. Also, you're saying they double downed on their moronic comments which is actually a pretty massive lie and just shows you didn't even look at both LMG's video (jokes aside) and their statements to press like The Verge, etc. Stop spreading mindless hate.
  18. The thing is, Linus didn't consider that reviewing the Monoblock again would be "doing the right thing" because he didn't consider the review of the Monoblock in itself bad since bottom line, yes, it's a ridiculously priced product. It's on Billet Labs to show that they can improve and introduce a much better priced product. The only "right thing" to do here is rightly compensate Billet Labs for the loss of the Monoblock itself and that's it.
  19. Also, Steve hasn't said or released anything else since LMG essentially showed they made a simple mistake. He hasn't even acknowledged that what he spread initially as "LMG STOLE AND GHOSTED BILLET LABS AND THEN LIED ABOUT IT" wasn't fully the case at all. His silence on all of this is very weird.
  20. Tell me you don't know anything about LMG without telling me. The Screwdriver has a bunch of parts and final assembly made in Canada actually, Linus supports local businesses. Also their backpack is pretty amazing and durable, just look at all the people on Reddit having motorcycle accidents and the backpack surviving without damage. It's misleading at best calling their merch "rebranded stuff" and "slave labor".
  21. It's also not Linus's style to make videos criticizing other YouTubers. At most he talks about it on WAN show and more often than not, he tries to explain X YouTuber's mentality and reasoning.
  22. For real, look how the LMG video has at least quadruple the views Steve usually gets
  23. This is another thing people don't seem to get and I find Steve to be very disingenuous about. Steve says "That's not what we do, it's a courtesy, not mandatory" but the thing is Steve, you could've released the exact same video with an additional statement from LMG. But if you do not get at least a statement from the party you're accusing, you're not only making it sound like it's malice from that party, you're also weaponizing your audience to go after them since you just told them that this party commits mistakes and "stole from Billet Labs", all with an undertone of malice.
  24. That's just being dumb, Framework has nothing to do with what's happening with LMG. Do you consume any Nestle or Nestle sub brand products? Because I can tell you right now they're a much worse and shadier company and LMG is nothing compared to them. I don't know what's wrong with this community. Linus does one bad thing and now he's seen as the fucking devil on earth, never mind any good thing they did or whatever. Yes, Madison may be telling the truth but they're acknowledging it and she didn't even say it was Linus commiting any of the abuse. They're taking steps to investigate and deal with it. And they, apart from the tasteless jokes, did agree with the community and are revising their whole processes. Is this really the appropriate response from the community? To essentially hurt another startup or, for example like I'm seeing in Reddit, spreading around screenshots of the video about the value of the prototype, not realizing that they did censor it after and it's now the community spreading rhe value of the prototype around? Have some common sense and stop blindly spreading hate. You're literally stopping people from fixing things and try to make it good if you just keep hurting and cancelling everyone like this. It's like one wrong step and boom, you're done, we're gonna fucking take you down because you made one wrong mistake of a dumb emotional answer.
