VillaiNPC reacted to WallacEngineering in When can we expect custom 5700XT cards?
This video shows real life game loads between RX 5700, RX 5700XT, RTX 2060 Super, and RTX 2070 Super.
The results show that if you play Forza, you REALLY want the new Radeon cards, as the RX 5700XT nearly matches a freaking RTX 2080 TI in this title! The results also show the RX 5700XT to be behind the RTX 2070 Super in most senarios by 5-8%, and matching the RTX 2070 Super in a significant number of titles, but while costing 20% less, AMD is once again the king of value. Also, while getting 100-140 FPS in most cases on 2560X1440 with the highest settings, this card is perfect for Ultra-Smooth, lag free 90+ FPS 1440p Ultra Gaming good enough for even the most intense, fast-paced shooters.
My personal goal is 3440x1440 High settings at at least 90 FPS (turning down some optional settings like MSAA is no problem). I think the 5700XT should suit me well. Finally, the tests do show thermal throttling as soon as you attempt to overclock the 5700XT, but can sustain over 2.0GHz if you force the fan to 100% speed, making it EXTREMELY loud. @Ebony Falcon, this is exactly why I say the 5700XT is the better option. Once we get some aftermarket cooling options, these cards will easily maintain 2.0+ GHz with acceptable noice levels, outperforming the RTX 2070 Super and probably landing right in between the 2070 Super and the 2080 Standard, making it a massive value for money.
By the way @VillaiNPC August is literally 3 weeks away. I would say mid-month. Thats 5 weeks. Not too long of a wait.

VillaiNPC reacted to WallacEngineering in When can we expect custom 5700XT cards?
Yea by a hair, have you not seen benchmarks? Most games are so close it can be called margin of error, and on a few games the 5700CT actually overtakes the 2070 Super. Its not enough to justify a $100 price jump to get a 2070 Super unless you specifically want RT cores. And Overclocking can go farther than you think, I got my GTX 980 close to the performance of a GTX 1080 (stock of course and ignoring the VRAM difference). All you need is better cooling on the 5700XT cuz those stock blowers are running HOT!!!

Can't do anything wrong with: HP ProBook 440 G5 (4QW84EA)
But check first if Rust runs well on intel 620 onboard chip! Benchmarks f.e.
Found it on newegg:

Next step is this one from MSI with MX150 graphics:

It's hard to get a good one for that price with dedicated graphics card tbh.

Between £150-160 from those websites that I linked.

A couple of sites sell them, like Amazon, Overclockers, and Mechboards, but unfortunately they are all out of stock.

You can build one for around that but it would be pretty basic. Other options include the Vortex Poker or GMMK 60%

VillaiNPC reacted to Dissitesuxba11s in Looking for a good 60% keyboard
How much is the Ducky One 2 Mini, or the Vortex POK3R in your area? For really a budget option you can look at the Anne Pro 2.
I have other options but they are creeping into custom keyboard territory.

VillaiNPC reacted to afaq0 in Looking for an upgrade from iPhone 6
@VillaiNPC
After the release of the OnePlus 6t, the OnePlus 6 had quite a drop in price. I don't remember how long it took for this to occur but it was definitely a great deal. I'm not sure if the same will happen for the OnePlus 6t and when it will happen but I can guess it will drop in about 2 weeks. This may be completely off but it's a guess.

Yeah oneplus 6t like the people above said, it's a sick phone for the price!

VillaiNPC reacted to afaq0 in Looking for an upgrade from iPhone 6
@VillaiNPC
Personally, I do recommend the oneplus 6t because it's software is really smooth and well made. Also I personally like the feel and everything else about it. However, the oneplus 7 looks like it will be coming out soon so I would wait for that and see if you like it. If not, the oneplus 6t, which will have dropped in price, will be a nice buy. In the end though, it is personal preference.
Hope you find what is right for you.

I've had my fair shares of iPhone throughout the years. I myself am using the iPhone 8 Max for work but that is soon going to switched to a Google Pixel 3 and I have recently ordered the OnePlus 6T for myself as I've tried friends and family's. Would definitely stay away from iPhone.
Android is not bad as it was just 3-4 years ago. Now you actually have the chance to get a good camera and a quick OS.
Hope this was just a little helpful. Hopefully more people can post more concrete reviews.
Otherwise take a look at these two links.

I probably wouldn't. I run a 970 and don't have that much problems getting high frame rates on my 144hz. Unless you got money to throw, then power to ya

VillaiNPC reacted to narrdarr in i5 6600K & GTX 970, Is it time to upgrade?
i run an i5-6500 @ 4.3 ghz
asus z170 gaming pro mobo
16gb ram (forgot my speed maybe 2500mhz)
gtx 1080 ftw
1440p 144hz monitor
i get 120-130 fps in pubg with a mix of high and med setting
before my 1080 my 970 struggled in some titles even at 1080p
I'd say get a gpu

Definitely, there's no motherboard that works with both AMD and Intel (obviously)

VillaiNPC reacted to r2724r16 in i5 6600K & GTX 970, Is it time to upgrade?
Wait until AMD's Zen 2 chips are released, and then decide what to upgrade to.
-
VillaiNPC reacted to r2724r16 in i5 6600K & GTX 970, Is it time to upgrade?
Is that an SSD or a HDD? Because if you don't have an SSD, that's the first thing you should get.
As for getting a higher framerate, I think you should wait until AMD's Zen 2 chips are showed off next year, and upgrade if the new CPUs look good. And as for a GPU upgrade, you can pick up a used GTX 1070 or 1080 Ti.

VillaiNPC reacted to vK 3 1 RON in i5 6600K & GTX 970, Is it time to upgrade?
Trust me I've been going for 144Hz constant for a long time, there comes a point where you need to say "Okay. I'm going to turn some settings down..." - usually I have Anti-aliasing off completely because I'm not that big into graphics - "... I'm getting like 120+Hz, I can just turn off the fps counter" And it's actually amazing! XD No, but seriously, your rig is most likely fine. If you want to upgrade your GPU/CPU to something newer go for it, but I wouldn't bother with RAM/PSU. And yeah, that storage needs a buff in my opinion

VillaiNPC reacted to 3 Lions in i5 6600K & GTX 970, Is it time to upgrade?
First thing I would upgrade is the CPU to either an i7 6700K or 7700K (BIOS update needed), you can find good deals on Ebay.

VillaiNPC reacted to Wufflez in Help Finding a New Monitor
I could recommend the monitor I am currently use it, since I love it so much.
https://www.amazon.com/d/Monitors/Viotek-GN24CB-Speakers-Bezel-Less-FreeSync/B078P2XN9M/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1546002637&sr=8-2-spons&keywords=viotek+144hz&psc=1
It's a VA panel which is significantly better than a TN in terms of color accuracy, I have it next to an IPS and they can be hard to tell a picture apart sometimes. You were doing editing so I thought some color accuracy would be important, but I think an IPS would be way out of your price range ($400+). 144hz 4ms response time that can be boosted to 3.1ms. 24". If you're worried about the brand, Viotek is MSI's monitor supplier. MSI has the exact same model, but I decided to go with this brand since they have a "Zero-Tolerance Dead Pixel Policy".
Also, different monitors do not affect your recordings. The only thing that does is resolution.

VillaiNPC got a reaction from Over_Confident in Which monitor should I get ? (more info in post)
I would say the Asus VG248QE is one of the best monitors for what you are looking for, also what GPU do you have?
