  1. I’d like to thank everybody for commenting on the subject. As for your reply, I am not sure about the material used for AMD FX CPUs. I commented without knowledge on that subject. I did some research and couldn’t find anything on what material they are using for the heat spreader for the AMD FX 8350, which is the CPU I have. I guess I’ll just fill it in with the paste. No need to hassle around.
  2. I know this will sound very weird but I got some minor scratches on both my CPU and heatsink with one small but kind of deep scratch on the CPU ( just the metal, no big deal). Normally to get rid of them you’d lap them, right? Or let the thermal paste fill them. But I was wondering if it is somehow possible to fill the aluminum on the CPU and heatsink instead to get rid of those scratches. What would I need and what would the procedures be if such a thing was possible? Thanks in advance people.
  3. And also did you check if the fan pins were in place when you cleaned the card? Did you open it all the way?
  4. It shouldnt be shutting of at 60 degrees. Its very low in terms of temperature. I believe you reseated everything so lets skip that, can you share all the specs of your PC? Especially the PSU
  5. I didnt pry it off I was just cleaning my PC and it comes off the second you take out the backplate
  6. Thanks for the replies guys. If anyone knows what it’s called i’d like to do some searching/look it up.
  7. This thing on the left goes on top of the CPU backplate. I’m using an AMD FX 8350 and Akasa Venom Voodoo as my cooler. What do I do with it? Do I take it off or leave it on? And what is it called? Thanks in advance people.
