  1. I uninstalled the Master Ryzen, disabled and enabled quiet n cool, factory defaulted the bios and screwed around with the fans to make them louder earlier. Still stuck in this weird 3.6 Ghz land. Whatever, it burns it burns. I'll just pin it on the cpu.
  2. So that would mean it's normal for it to be at 3.5 Ghz ?
  3. The CPU stays at 3.50 and above all the time. Even when idle. Isn't that unhealthy? I would suppose that a normal CPU would sit at 1.55 Ghz to reduce power consumption or stay cool and increase depending on load. Or have I misunderstood base frequency? Are these CPUs just meant to sit at 3.5 Ghz all the time? It runs a bit warm at that speed.
  4. My tower runs a 1500X on a stock cooler, 8 GB of RAM, 1060 3GB, AX370 Gaming K3 Motherboard, 480gb ssd, and a 650 psu. I have NOT overclocked it at all, fearing to void the warranty. So the story goes like this: I downloaded some gigabyte applications then deleted them because I didn't like them. I realized my BIOS was not up to date so I updated that. I then installed Ryzen Master Control and AMD's chipset drivers wondering if it'll help with performance. It did help with the benches a bit but what I noticed later was I was running hot, 45 to 50 C all the time on idle. I then noticed my clock speeds were fixed at 3.5 GHZ on the ryzen master control and CPU-Z was showing 3.9 GHZ and 1.45V spikes. I checked my power plan settings and noticed it was on AMD power plan management, I chose the default power plan and the temperatures dropped to 36C,volts at 0.8 around about, and the CPU was at 1.55 GHZ The thing is, the benchmarks showed a performance decrease as well which is annoying. I tried reinstalling the drivers but nothing happened. Anyone been through this or know a fix? I'd rather not manually fix the volts at a certain number as that would void the warranty and disable the xfr making me regret the 1500x since 1600 would've been the better choice then.
