  1. $350-$400 is what my budget is for the gpu for my htpc.... my new gaming rig has no budget cap...
  2. test outside of the case... had this issue one time, turned out to be an odd ground fault situation between my mobo and my case... weird stuff.... but if everything is plugged in correctly and u have tested the ram and other components, then the board may just be doa unfortunately
  3. Sapphire r9 390x Nitro.... i crank that mofo as high as possible 24/7..... until i see inadequate fps and then ill reign it in a little
  4. I game at 1440p on it and it does pretty good. but in some games its starting to age. and honestly budget is in the 1080ti range but thats overkill for a htpc. so im trying to go budget on it and build a seperate gaming rig
  5. just wondering peoples opinion on the 390x as of now? and what they would recommend for an HTPC for a cheap upgrade......
  6. Lost access and the script isnt working.... i signed up for floatplane club literally this morning.... @colonel_mortis
  7. Side convo.... How do u like your 1080ti ftw3?! Waiting on mine to arrive and I'm anxious
  8. Ya 1.25v is alot!! That doesn't seem right.... I've seen videos of people having to do custom bios just to be able to get past the 1.15v safeguard implimented by manufacturers.... U may want to check into that... Cuz mure voltage obviously means more heat and that's allot of voltage on a gpu core.
  9. Thanks for the input... I've heard of custom bios flashes... Don't seem difficult, but would I be safe to try it considering the card has a dual bios? Essentially it would just derp the bios I was trying to flash at the time and I could safely switch to the other one to revert it correct?
  10. Ya I could. But hell I paid $75 for a gpu that runs ultra settings stock lol. Might as well keep it and use it til my 1080ti gets here... But I was hoping someone on here had the same issue and could give me an idea of just what's going on.
  11. Tried it on my workstation (x79) with a 1200w psu and still has same outcome... So maybe just a shit 390x...
  12. And I trust the gentleman I got it from very much. As he owns his own business and has been a personal friend for several years... That's how I know the card is new... And definitely why I got the good deal on it.
  13. I'll get a pick if I can... Hopefully I didn't trash it. But I used ddu and everything. I tried different OC software from afterburner to trixx and everything in between... Same result every time. Just doesn't make sense why I can't make a single adjustment on the card
