What if GPU rendering used ML/AI hardware (ASIC most likely) to perform object recognition on any given scene, and allocated more processing units/VRAM to more complex objects in the given scene (to speed up rendering)? Years ago, I was considering that idea over traditional rendering methods (due to the very issues you mentioned). Or, maybe use a combination of the previous hypothetical technique with ray-casting or radiosity (in opposed to rasterisation)? Using a new method to divvy the workload in a more logical manner could minimise the issues you mentioned in the last portion...

P.S. Just took a quick look at this as well.

Shape-shifting. Who wouldn't want the ability to like like what ever they wanted? Most people would say flight or something boring, but with Shape-shifting i could turn into a bird (or, hell, even a dragon) and be able to fly anyway. it's just such a versatile power that has endless possibilities.

    My backup would be Telekinesis

Keyboard is what i'm the most picky about. It's hard to find a keyboard i'm happy with, but once i find it, i can swap out as many other parts as needed, but the keyboard will stay the same.

That won't work very well because the AI wouldn't know where anything is until the geometry is setup, which is one of the first steps to 3D rendering. By that point, the work was already distributed.

TopHatProductions115 reacted to Mira Yurizaki in Why are physics engines tied to frame rates?
While it's easy to claim it's awful design to have things revolve around the frame rate, I would argue on the other end of the spectrum, it may not be useful to have a frame rate that can exceed how fast the game world runs. If the game world only updates at 60 Hz, there's no point in exceeding 60 FPS because the graphics is a visual representation of the current state of the game world. You would just have extra frames that are rendering the same thing. Maybe if the graphics engine were fancy enough it would render in-between frames of animation, but those wouldn't really count for anything.

Of course, you could also ask why won't developers allow the game world to run faster or slower? Because this would create an inconsistent experience when comparing lower end systems to higher end ones. Imagine being able to cheat by running the game world at a lower rate; you could effectively phase through matter.

As an explanation for the choice of benchmarks...
The program must have an in-game benchmark, because I wanted little influence as possible from outside programs on the results. Even if that influence is negligible. 3DMark was chosen because well, it's 3DMark Unigine Heaven was chosen because it's still a popular DX11 benchmark FFXIV was chosen mostly because it's what I'm playing right now :3  However it does not test network capabilities. GTAV was chosen mostly because it's still a popular benchmark Deus Ex: Mankind Divided due it being rather stressful on cards F1 2016 due to being relatively CPU intensive since the benchmark simulates all ~24 drivers.

bruh, i can imagine why you're having hard time getting on with your plan to loose weight, 4 kids. that's brutal. you have more than enough stress to focus on all. let alone yours.

I've tried the music trick, and it makes it a bit better, but still not enough to spend valuable time on a treadmill, that's why i'm going the vr route. It's fun so i want to keep doing even though it's exercise.
I don't know how i'd do weightlifting at home or keep motivated at it, though I have considered some weighted ankle and wrist bands to make the vr more intensive
I'll try the vitamin c. in most cases supplements are a waste, but since i don't have enough fruit i'm probably in defecit and could use it

Walking is out for me because of 4 kids, but i'm definitely trying to cook more. I haven't considered a wok pan, but that sounds good. I am interested in sauces, what are some of your favorite ones?

i think you got some flour on your nose...

Two things.  Get your music player/phone.  Add a bunch of Eurobeat and DBZ music = profit.

No seriously thats what worked for me and keeping me from being bored on the treadmill hearing the DBZ guitar get goin or the Initial D music drop instant adrenaline rush and boost to motivation.

Also while you're trying to lose weight figure in weight lifting people underestimate how much energy is really burned off lifting weights plus for guys it is a good boost for testosterone which has its positive effects especially for weight loss

Consider a supplement of Vitamin C nothing complicated just a basic Vitamin C pill.  Not only good for your immune system but helps counteracts the effects of cortisol (comes from stress) which can make weight loss difficult.

They always have been. Even the XR, the "cheap" iPhone is technically on the lower-half of the high-end spectrum.

The only "budget" models Apple sells are previous iPhone models. Minus the iPhone SE, iPhones usually only cater to the high-end.

To be frank, a lot of the reasons why people prefer one platform over the other is a subjective reason from an objective fact.

There’s things Android is better at and there’s things iOS is better at.
