The thing is, Ubisoft already stopped all support, and it's an online-only game (as in, phone home needed to play at all), so it's effectively dead. If they allowed you to install it, you still wouldn't be able to play it. Hence why Ubisoft, and The Crew specifically, has been singled out to be made an example for others:

Windows 10 becomes unsupported in late 2025. The EliteBook 8770w cannot (officially) run Windows 11. If I do run Windows 11 on it, can't get any support from Microsoft (when was the last time I did, outside of license activation?). The EliteBook 8770w is also getting older, and could start wearing out/breaking down in the near future. If I end up getting new hardware either way, I'm installing Linux on it. -

If you're talking about Linux, just use Mint or Debian They're the most durable imo. If you're still worried after that, setup Timeshift and restore from backup if anything does break. -
