Windows 10 is truly attempting to test my patience with my laptop (ProBook) again For some reason, all Power Plans but "Balanced" were missing from my Control Panel, so I had to restore access to them via CMD. The bad part is, this issue didn't arise until the most recent 1803 Cumulative Update. Something tells me that I may need to roll back said update. In addition to that, I went back into AMD Overdrive, only to find that TurboCore had turned itself back on XD And that my most recent clock/voltage profile had been negated as a result! Thanks, Microsoft!

Dear Microsoft,
STOP CHANGING MY SETTINGS. I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING.
I shouldn't have to do things like that...
On a different note, if AMD Overdrive keeps annoying me, I'll switch to simply modding P-States instead:
-
Oh, the poorly tested update broke something? Just roll it back LOL -Microsoft.

I don't even feel like turning off TurboCore at this point. I specifically turned it off so I can properly undervolt my system and get slightly better performance out of the thing (since thermals would be better). But if this is going to be a thing after every Update or Reboot, Microsoft's gonna be the one thing that keeps me out of the performance-tweaks hobby (especially on laptops)

Windows 10 Pro, activated. I may actually start delaying updates again, @Cyberspirit

I'd say it's a good idea to do so. Sure, you can roll back but, I'd rather not update at all until I know it's mostly stable.

@TopHatProductions115 As you have win 10 pro you can deactivate updates all together through some policy changes. I don't remember how i did it, but now windows just gives a little notification "a new update is available", but doesn't do anything itself. So when i feel like updating, i click the notification and then i click "download update", then i click "install update".
IMO, win 10 should have that as the default setting, then people wouldn't hate it.
