  1. Unfortunately, @Slayerking92, I have already moved it to the furthest point over, the HX1200i really is a longboi sadly (got the PSU a while ago, long before considering going into another case) Thanks for the info, @The_Mafia69. My drives are 2x Ironwolf Pro 6TBs, that seem to have operational resliency to 70 deg C, which I never thought was the case. The more you know...
  2. Hi all, I have just re-built my build into a 5000X case. Unfortnately I have a bit of a longboi PSU (Corsair HX1200i) and the space for the PSU and HDD cage in the 5000D/X is more than a little constrained. Airflow and temps in the rest of the case is pretty decent (R7 2700x & RTX 2080 super) but the HDDs are going up to silly temperatures (55 deg C, if not higher) and yes, I know, who uses HDDs anymore, but I need to for mass photography storage, until I build the NAS at least. My thoughts is that the airflow by the HDDs is severely hampered by the PSU length and cable sprawl, causing the HDDs to get hot. There is a small amount of room by the back of the HDDs, that I might be able to squeeze a small (60-80 ish mm fan in there, but I dont know what else might be worth considering. Can you please give me some advice Thanks in advance, Best regards, Ben
  3. Worked eventually, thanks for the advice (restarted between uninstall and reinstallation this time)
  4. Tried, uninstalled current version and installed beta. No such luck. Will try again once WU has completed. Thanks for the suggestion
  5. Plea for help if I can please? Updated client and now I cant get it to recognise my GPU It had been working for 2 months before but just nothing seeming to work now Any ideas?
  6. Not sure if I'm just behind the times, but holy crap, LTT team has taken off somewhat. Last I saw was somewhat less than https://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/team_list.php?s= is reporting. We're also at number 4! Well done @GOTSpectrum again! Well done to all of us!
  7. I'm fairly new to all this Folding buisness, but progressing well it seems. I just want to say thank you to @GOTSpectrum and everyone that has helped and all of us that is participating in it. I'm from the UK where the panic is setting in fairly well, which is madness, but nonetheless, Folding and this community is giving not just me hope, but also a lot of my elderly parents. Thank you all!
  8. Unfortunately this didn't work for me. Think I'm going to have to try some different RAM...
  9. Thank you for the suggestion, I will definitely give that a go!
  10. Hi, I have a new system that is a Ryzen 2700x, with 2x16GB of Corsair Vengance RGB Pro C16 3200MHz. However, I can only get it to run at 2133MHz and I'd like to get it to go at the rated frequency at least, I'm farily new to full PC systems so may have missed some BIOS tweak but ive tried most things that appear to be obvious going through my mobo's BIOS settings and I cant get it to go any faster, The part no. for the RAM is CMW32GX4M2C3200C16, and the mobo is an ASUS ROG Strix X570-F Gaming, Can you help please?
  11. I'm not overly familar with the camera personally, but I know LTT and many many others have praised it in the past. Panasonic Lumix GH4. I'd be tempted to get a 2nd hand one with a reasonable lens and do something with that - Otherwise, see what you can do in terms of borrowing people's cameras to try out or get a feel for one at a store, like the Canon EOS M100. Very versatile bit of kit, small and pocketable (ish) that could probably do what you need, just be wary of jumping into it and locking yourself to a lens mount that you'll have to get rid of later down the line...
  12. I'd imagine that each of the 2 minute clips are just that, at the limit of the FAT32 file size limitation. How large is each 2 minute clip?
  13. Based on @givingtnt's flairs, theyre still live, but unfortunately I think youre right with the migration that happened, despite linking the accounts, they arent working for me anymore. Thanks all for the information.
  14. I thought that us floatplane supporters got Floatplane flairs / accolades. I cant find any against me. What can I do to get it back if possible? Apologies for the potentially stupid question and thanks in advance
  15. I'm in love with the image above. Its brilliant. Very nice tones and capture of the shadows and the highlights, especially on a mobile phone camera where the noise and tones always seem to come out and never do the view justice. I very much empathasise with not wanting to carry a camera up that high. Beautifully captures the moment. In terms of what I'd say you can do to improve the image, I'll ignore the image quality issues present and noise primarily due to the use of a mobile phone camera, I would say that some more context for the image with some more width could be benefical, say with a panorama, either with seperate images you stitch together later on or using the panorama mode I presume your phone has. Or alternatively, changing the perspective and focussing more, if possible, on a route going up to the summit. You have captured the transition from light to dark across the frame and also framed it so that the horizon is dominant on the image and you avoid the excess noise from capturing more of the darker sky. This is my image, taken on a Canon 760D, stitched together in post in Lightroom, of a small river in Snowdonia, Northern Wales, UK.
