  1. I would seriously dig this especially with the new Olympics coming up... watch in hd
  2. thanks guys, just cleared it up for me
  3. so guys I've come across a online movie streaming app that works surprisingly well but i still don't know if streaming movies like these for absolutely nothing is legal or not i know that i would never get caught that doesn't make it right if anyone could shead some light on the matter that would be awesome heres the app https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/apps/online-cinema/9wzdncrdjzn4
  4. be careful my aio never worked the same after i modded it. i eventually just bought a new pump and radiator and removed the rotor in the aio and am using it as a block now https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxKq0AEkCa2xNTEwUjVtb1N3b0U/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxKq0AEkCa2xSjhnckdjR2YzeWM/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxKq0AEkCa2xeEEzZ053TUV0bFE/view?usp=sharing edit: sorry thought you were doing a tubing mod
  5. ok i take back what i said.. when i dismantled the pump/block i removed the rotor and a water diversion plate. i didnt know what the plate was for so i left it out. i finally figured out what it did and its purpose is to act as something to force the water to run through the tiny fins. i re installed the plate and now i have great temps 75 degrees on furmark and i think about the 60s in gta v so you CAN use a aio pump/block as just a block as long as you only take out the rotor and nothing eles
  6. Ok so I removed the rotor and the temps where bad I got a 240 mm radiator and a XSPC pump (grate pump for the money) It seems the fins are too close on the copper heat plate and there's barely any heat transfer.. So I've made my own gpu block out of an old north bridge Haha this is very getto. I don't know if it will work, it will give me at least a few degrees less I'll be happy until I get a few more Rands So in conclusion you can't use a aio water pump/block as just a water block, you are better off building a custom loop from scratch and maybe salvaging the radiator I'll be back in an hour or so hopefully with some good news (just waiting for the putty to harden)
  7. Hey guys. I have a cooler master seidon 120v that I fitted to my R9 290. I then decided to do a tubing mod to it and I've now ruined it, I use to get good temps (stock tubing) but now I'm back to 95 degrees Celsius... Balls! My solution to the problem is to get the cooler Master eisberg 120l https://m.takealot.com/#product?id=30764467 and expand it to cool both my cpu and gpu So what I actually want to know is if I can remove the rotor inside the seidon 120v and use it as a gpu water block with the cooler Master eisberg 120l as the cpu block and pump. The reason I want to do this is because a proper xspc gpu block costs 999 rand (zar) while the whole cooler Master seidon 120v only cost me 700 rand. To put it in really simple terms: convert aio pump/block to only a block
  8. Anyone have an idea when carizo might be released?
  9. Solved! I dropped my oc from 4.83ghz to just 4.8ghz then msi afterburner was causing rubbish so closed that as well and boom! It's working perfectly
  10. Well I just got a r9 290 for cheap, and it seems like the little dual core isn't enough, there's a pretty big bottleneck. E.g the cpu usage will be at 100% while gpu is only at most 60%. I'll probably have to lower the settings to low but at least run at 1080p. I dono will figure something out Games are battlefield 3, ghost recon phantoms and Saints row 4 they all only run for a few minutes before crashing while on balls to the walls highest settings
  11. Well I bricked my Motherboard about less than 3 days of owning it, anyway I got 4.83ghz on the cpu and the cheaper ram got to 1900mhz, don't really know why it's 1900 coz I set it to 1866 and my timings not exceeding 12 mem test passed but prime95 was an absolute fail, but it ran bf3 just fine, I had just started overclocking the igpu but that's when I did the bios update in live updater My honest opinion on this apu?... Definitely worth the money, the cpu speed is snappy enough, and I'm sure you can get a decent oc on the igpu, I'll find out when my replacement arrives
  12. Very interesting, hopefully amd can work some magic, I also thought of getting the athlon that might come alongside carrizo apu's probably called athlon II x4 980 if it fits my board. Thanks a ton guy's will get back with some benchmarks probably Wednesday or Thursday
  13. Ok cool, I've heard that latency isn't much of a big deal with apu's But I guess the proof is in the pudding My parts finally arrived so I'll test everything and and see how far the cheaper ram Can be overclocked. I'll try a ridiculously slow latency With high clocks and see if it affects input lag, fps, etc. I would get 2400mhz ram but this pc is just here to sustain me till skylake releases, I'm guessing skylake will use ddr4 so it would be a waste But thanks for everything, will update as go
  14. I have ordered the following parts: Thermaltake LitePowerx - 350W Patriot 4GB 1600MHZ LD 512X8 memory MSI AMD A78M-E35 M-ATX Motherboard - Socket FM2+ AMD A6-6400K Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer DDR3 1866 Gaming Memory - 4GB An old 1tb hhd I wanted to know if I could run to ram sticks of different speeds and latencies at the same time Or do you think it would be possible to oc the cheaper ram to 1866mhz or at least 1833mhz and sacrifice some latency? This build is just here to sustain me till skylake releases This is my first post thanks in advance
  15. watch out with the ram, i can almost guarantee its not ddr3, you're better of waiting for the 8gb... this i know because i wanted to do the same thing
