I literally just had this dilemma, event went as far as to spending a few hours at my local pc specialist shop to weigh up the pros and cons. All in all in going to be getting the 4k display simply because I am connecting my Xbox one and ps4 pro to it and support for these devices on ultrawide is negligible. The immersiveness of 21:9 is better for general gaming and light productivity in my opinion, plus you get higher frames and a smoother gameplay as it's not as hard to push. If they supported consoles i would be at 21:9.

I'd do the ultra wide because it's 1440p, so it will pretty sharp, and you get that surround experience. 

Yeah. Because they can increase the screen size a lot more, while maintaining the quality and not pixelating.

There is no need? I mean mice don't over heat? Mainly its your hand adding heat to the surface? at best you could have a cooled surface? but then laptops already do this so like...idk what to say

I see, thanks for all the peoples help i would have made some really huge mistakes if i hadn't given it a shot and looked for help on here, thanks a lot.

Ryzen 5 1400, any asus or gigabyte mobo should be fine
 
 

I mean hey if you can dream you can build. Who knows maybe there is a market for this. maybe it even gets bought as just a gimmick item. Anyway a lot of mice have removable weights. I'd recommend a none conductive fluid and not just water if  you do decide to go with your idea though,

What would be the best 1440p monitor at 1440hz? preferably 34inch or lowest 27inch and anyone know about the hdmi splitter stuff?
