  1. Hmm... Yes, I suppose I could. I've been wanting to check out the Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg anyway, and from there it's not really that much further. I could probably combine that somehow, maybe with a few other things, make it a total geek-out trip.
  2. Thank you very much. Being 9 hours ahead, I'm pretty much guaranteed to always miss out on these.
  3. Really? No one at all?
  4. Thanks for the heads up. This will likely change my future upgrade plans a great deal.
  5. Pets, some few really amazing people, imagination, thirst for knowledge. (Should probably also mention ridiculous amounts of sugar). Some days it's just pure stubbornness, but other days... it's the little things that stand out.
  6. At least they're transparent about it. I'll take an honest "Hey guys, this is sponsored content" over badly disguised product placement any day. (The new tunnelbear thing with the costume is creepy AF though, I much preferred the old way on that one).
  7. Anyone have any insights on installing Indico on CentOS/CC7? Is it as straightforward as it looks? Or are there any pitfalls I should be aware of along the way?
  8. Wait, what? I would have liked a bit more detail on that 3 months comment...
  9. Don't hate them exactly. It's just that they're never built exactly the way I want them, and they often come with an OS that I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole.
  10. About time! Something to look forward to, finally.
  11. I didn't know hotmail still existed, so I can't comment on that one specifically. But in general, I don't mind changes as long as they actually make stuff better, or at least don't break stuff, but I've seen a lot of changes lately that remove functionality or just make a mess of things for no apparent reason, and those (obviously) I don't like. Youtube being a great example. At least with the most recent youtube one they made it easy to go back to the previous way, luckily, because honestly it took me all of 2 minutes to figure out I wouldn't be happy with that one.
  12. Gotta admit I still kinda miss Logitechs Cordless Optical Trackman, not sure if it was comfort or convenience, but it worked.
  13. Thanks, I hadn't seen that one yet, it's so far back. And yay, cats!
  14. Actually the horrible facebook (and youtube) comments played a big part in me finally getting around to registering on the forum. Figured there'd be less hate and more tech talk here. I think a lot of people are just crazy jealous and never learned how to behave, but yeah, it definitely seems to be getting worse.
