how would that help with temps? a 5600X wouldn't get that hot with that beef of a heatsink. It almost sounds like a contact problem if you're sitting at 85°C in idle. A 5600G (same TDP as 5600X) can run at lower temps with a much smaller heatsink (Noctua L9a) can you open your case and feel if the heatsink even gets any warm? check the heatpipes if you can touch them.

I'm trying to avoid that since I had bad experience with liquid metal getting marks into the CPU die and heatsink, even though it was copper, it was impossible to fully clean up. Since the laptop is only a few weeks old I don't want to risk to void the warranty.

any recommendations though or should I stick to the MX5 for now ?

I have an Acer Nitro gaming laptop with an i7-10750H and a 3060. The CPU gets quite hot on load and gaming sessions (up to 100°C), GPU not so much (70ish°C max). So I swapped out the thermalpaste in hope that it would lower my temps. First with MX4, it didn't do much. maybe 1-2°C compared to stock paste, or maybe its jus placebo.. then someone asked why I used MX4, I should use something better like MX5, so I repasted with MX5.. temps didn't change much to not at all. Now I've been told that I should change again because MX-5 tends to dry out and pump out fast. I've been told to use Gelid Extreme, now I've been researching and hearing that it dries out fast on laptops as well.. a lot of other people recommended IC Diamond, but I cannot get that in my country and other sellers in the US don't ship to my country. So what other options do I have that is good for my laptop?

I have a Coolermaster H500M case and a Coolermaster ML360R AIO. I'm still looking for configuration suggestions for fan/AIO placement to have the best airflow for my setup. Right now I have it so the three 120mm fans from the AIO pull air from the front through the radiator into the case. The two 200MM fans on the top blow air into the case The one 140MM fan on the back blows air out of the case. As you can see on the picture I uploaded. My components are: i9-9900KF Asus ROG Strix Z390-F Gaming Motherboard MSI 1080 TI Gaming 11G open shroud card. what would you suggest me?

Trying to join the LTT discord, I can join using the web version of discord but not the app. (says invalid invite) I think I was part of it at one time but it somehow poofed from my server list but I could be wrong... is there a problem with the app at the moment?

oh also, the GTX 1050Ti Battle Flag is way too long and won't fit since the HDD cage is gonna be in the way.
