Hello guys, I'm making some renovations on my office, and for the position that I'm thinking for my PC, I'll need longer cables. I'm running 2 4K 60Hz Monitor (Asus PA329CV and Dell U2718Q). I'm running both with 3m cable now, but I'll need 5m cables for both, so I can have the lenght and the extra slack to be able to hide them. Both my monitors and my graphics card displayports are 1.2. My 3m cables are generic 1.2DP, they run fine (apart from my main monitor that sometimes blink for a second). Am I going to be fine if I buy 5m 1.4DP cables? There isn't certified brands available here in my country, the best I can get are the best aliexpress brands, like Ugreen, Vention and similars. Running HDMI isn't an option because my TV is hooked up to my PC as well. Thanks!

I'm going with a full wireless setup, already have a wireless keyboard, mouse and headphone, but I use a Wacom Intuos Pro for my work, it does have bluetooth but the connection is really unreliable, crashes frequently and the delay is pretty big, so I have to run it wired. This got me thinking, does anyone know a adapter that you plug into the graphics tablet or other peripheral that has a battery big enough to supply power to it and send the data to a dongle similar to a logitech one or any other wireless that is not bluetooth? Hello guys, I've noticed something weird these days with my EVGA GTX 1080Ti SC Black. While on Idle, both fans "power up" for a second and turn off. MSI Afterburner doesn't register a spike in Fan Speed percentage or RPM. It still occurs with a custom fan curve. I have this card for about 2 years, noticed this only today. Both fans can spin up normally when needed. Any ideas on what's causing it? Here's a video showing the problem:

Looks like someone is forgetting that a wire is not a perfect transfer thing. It's also susceptible to interference and there's resistence of the wire itself, so it's very possible that the wireless technology is as fast as the wire or faster on ideal conditions. The processing it requires is basically meaningless at this point, as it's so fast and so power efficient to be done quickly enough so it doesn't increase the latency. Interference is not a problem in good mices. I live in a building with 23 apartments and all of them have at least a 2.4 and a 5ghz wifi, I also live in Downtown, so a lot of antenna going on and I NEVER had any problems with my G305 or G502. It reached a point, as Linus pointed in the video, that if you claim to notice a difference between a wireless and a wired mouse, you are full of shit. The only thing to consider today is only if you really want to be wire free to pay the premium for it, there are no performance loss whatsoever and you pay for it, there's no magic or corporation conspiracy.

Just want to mention that I've put a AA Energizer Lithium Battery on my G305 on August of last year and the Logitech software still says it's full battery. Okay I always leave it at Endurance Mode but I use it 8h+ a day and it's been a year already.

Hello guys, I've recently got a G502 and I'm really liking it. I was trying the different settings of Report Rate that G HUB offers and I found that 125Hz feels more responsive and faster to me for some reason. When I increase to 500Hz or 1000Hz it feels slower, similar to input lag, making me have to raise the DPI to 1500 or something (I usually set it at 800) or increase the sensitivity in games. I'm not a competitive player by any means, I just want to understand why this is happening, because it feels like something is wrong, and higher polling rates should make the mouse feel more responsive rather the less responsive. I've seen people talking about higher polling rates demanding more of the CPU but I don't think it's the case, I have a Ryzen 7 1700 and the clocks and usage stays the same when I change to 500Hz or Higher. I also don't have a 144Hz Monitor, I'm one of those guys that prefer 4K because of productivity reasons, so I'm still rocking a 60Hz panel. So I don't know if this is the reason. I also felt the same using my G305. The dongle for both mice are on my desk and very close to the mousepad, plugged directly into the motherboard using the included cable, so I don't think there's interference. I'm not planning in using 1000Hz because I don't play competitive and 125hz saves a little tiny bit of battery, but I want to understand what's happening. It's like having a Porsche and be limited to Comfort mode when you want to use it at Track Mode when you're driving fast in tracks but the car feels softer when you do it.

The Lightspeed one, I'm only looking at wireless mouses right now. I guess I will only know the best one trying them. I'll probably go for the G703, since it's cheaper, or the G603 if I can find one, because I like that it uses AA batteries instead of a built in rechargeable battery.

The MX Master 2s is out of stock everywhere already What do you think about the G703? It's cheaper than the G502 here

I worked on an office that had a MX Performance, I didn't really enjoyed it that much, I was too large for me I think, and I don't need that many buttons, the 2 thumb buttons do the job for me. I believe the MX Master is a evolution of the MX Performance, right? Also the MX Master 3 is preeeetty expensive in my country, so I think I prefer getting a G502 instead, even though I despise the gamery looks. Yeah, the name is pretty cringy hahaha I looks really nice, but it's not available in my country (Brazil). For wireless mouses I'm stuck with Logitech, Razer and Corsair That's a pretty helpful site, thanks!

Hello guys, I've been using a G400 and G400s for a long time. But recently switched to a G305 because the scrollwheel on the 400s was going bad. But now that I'm home all the time, my wrist is aching and I think it's the size and shape of the G305 that is at fault here. I've been using it for a year and I never got used to it, haven't found a way to grip it correctly without feeling wrist pain after a while. I really love that it's wireless and that I threw in a Lithium AA battery in it and forgot about it, but it's not doing me great for most of the time. So I'm looking for a Wireless Mouse that is comfortable and has a similar size/shape to the MX518/G400 (Where's the MX518 Lightspeed, Logitech?). The ones I think will fit me better are the G604, G703 and G502, the latter one being the most expensive. I've heard some bad things about the G604, specially about the skates and the wheel. I spend most of my time doing work, using Blender and Photoshop (I use a Wacom tablet on it) and I'm a casual gamer (RPGs and FPS with friends sometimes), so I don't think I'll notice a difference in weight (unless it's a really chunky mouse) or sensor performance too much, I'll still be pretty bad regardless.

I reinstalled the drivers using DDU and the problem still persists. I also tried changing back to my cable but it also didn't solved it. I checked the CPU and everything seems fine. I'm starting to think that I should format my PC, maybe some Windows Update screwed it.

I haven't checked that because I believe that Blender is GPU accelerated, but I'll take a look at it when I get home.

I'll try that when I get back home. But if it doesn't work, is there any other things that I can try?

Hello guys, I noticed a weird performance while using Blender 2.80 on my PC. Basically, when I move the camera or do something with the object the first few frames are really choppy, and it gets pretty annoying since moving the camera is probably the thing you most do when modeling. I tested it in ZBrush and I get the same problem, but this time it's more noticeable when hovering the brush over the model. The model itself is not heavy, in fact, it still happens with an empty viewport or a simple cube. Moving panels in Blender have the same effect. I just updated the graphics card driver and had no success. Although it took a lot of time to detect the compatibility (something close to 5 minutes), which I found to be pretty weird. I noticed that when moving the camera the GPU usage spikes from 0 to 50, maybe there's a delay or something that is causing this? I also changed the power cable before noticing this issue but I'm not sure if this can be the problem. My GPU is a EVGA GTX 1080Ti SC Black without overclock, I also have a Ryzen 7 1700 and 16GB on 3000MHz. I'm using a 4K monitor, but it still happens on my 1080p secondary monitor. I did some tests on my PC at work and I have no problems with it and it's running a 980Ti. The GPU spikes when moving the camera hardly go past 10%. I haven't noticed this issue while gaming. Does anyone know a solution for this issue? Thanks!

Yeah, just did that. I set it yo 1.175v, i's running fine now. I was running the CPU on stock before I update my BIOS, I prefered a quieter and cooler system than the minor performance increase. I think that this voltage spikes on stock settings is a BIOS Bug, I'm hoping that MSI fixes it on next updates.

Yeah. Auto Voltages, C'n'Q on and P State Mode 0 (default). With the 3.4GHz the voltages sits on 1.175v~1.2v. Much less variation.

Yeah it's pretty constant, I would say 70% of the time. What bothers me isn't the voltage itself, but the increase in temperature and with that, noise. I'm not playing any cpu bound game or using programs that demand CPU, so I would like it to be as quiet and cool as possible. I did a 3.4GHz OC, the idle temps are a little higher than before, but at least it's stable and it's not ramping up the fan at all times.

I've ran Cinebench, CPUZ Stress and Keyshot 7. The voltages in this kind of load varies between 1.025v and 1.042v, with occasional spikes to 1.35v and 1.4v. The problem is when I'm doing my stuff or even browsing the internet, the spikes are much more often, sometimes staying between 2 and 5 seconds on 1.35v. Weird thing... Just tried applying a 3.5Ghz OC with auto voltages and the problem doesn't happen. I'm getting a solid 1.135v on loads, with cool n quiet on.

Hello guys, Yesterday I updated my BIOS to the latest version, and I noticed that the voltages are quite high for a stock CPU. It`s between 0.4v and 1.4v, it`s varying a lot and causing my CPU to be around 10ºC higher, and spiking a lot! I've attached screenshot of HWiNFO. My specs are: MSi B350M Mortar Ryzen 7 1700 Stock with Stock cooler Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB @ 3000MHz Is this normal or possibly a BIOS bug? Thanks!

I tried using Inspector, but this madness happens: The camera didn't picked it, but the screen is flickering when I enable it. The only way to fix the clocks for me besides taking one screen away is to change the resolution of my 4K monitor to 1080p

I'm using a Ryzen on a B350, I don't have onboard graphics I rarely game actually but I tested in Overwatch and there's no performance hit with 3 screens. The problem is that the 3rd screen is a Wacom Cintiq that I use for work, and there are some days that I'm using it 24/7. I don't think it's good to let the GPU at those clocks all day long, specially with the days getting hotter and hotter in my region. I saw in nVidia forums that a possible solution is to connect all monitors in the same interface, but I haven't saw any confirmation if this is true. I don't want to spend blindly on a new cable and HDMI>DP adapter (it's expensive here)

I understand this, but the temps are going fro, 35ºC to 52ºC, the Power is going from 21W to 49W, the clocks are going from 135 and 162 to 924 and 1752. Isn't this a little too much for only a 1080p display? And why there's no difference between having 1 monitor and 2 monitors?

I don't think that's the problem. I've seen people with a GTX 1080Ti with the same problem. The system still works fine, all the screens are perfectly fine, no stuttering or anything, just the clocks/temp issue.

Yes. But the clocks shoots up a lot, like I'm playing a game or something. The GPU usage stays on 0% btw
