To clear up some misconceptions about speed running.
 
There are different categories, depends on the game
Glitchless
Glitched
Scriptless
Scripted
Segmented
Single segment
There are more categories than this, those are just some examples
 
A speed run can be more than one category, e.g. this run is a segmented scripted glitched run. The most common half life run is a single segment glitched no script run, the record for which is roughly 36 minutes.
Similarly, portal speed runs have in-bounds and out-of-bounds categories.
Pretty much every speed run you see will use glitches.
 
The "health hack" they used was a door that instead of taking 1 health per frame, instead takes -1 health per frame, so they bump the frame rate up to the maximum (1000) and sit in it for roughly 4 seconds to give them the health they need to get to the end of the game. The only mod used was to undo a patch Valve made that removed bunny hopping from the game and all the mod does is allow them to bunnyhop again. The no fall damage is a mixture of surfing, edgebugging and landing on ladders. If you grab a ladder when falling you don't take any fall damage, if you land on a slope at the right angle you don't take any fall damage and if you hit the edge of a surface (literally like 3 pixels of the edge) then you don't take fall damage. There were no cheats used, there were no hacks used.
None of what they did makes it an illegitimate speedrun. All it does it change the category, and in the category of half life 1 segmented runs using scripts, this beat the previous record of 29:41 by exactly 9 minutes.

Think about how much more you could get for the same price in Steam Sales

I see TF.....Eaither valve have been playing LoL or they are making a new tf game or importing  tf2 into source 2....this could be interesting

8350's only if you're on a budget,or you could get it and spend more money on a better GPU.
The AMD CPU has 4 modules with 2 cores in each,so they have to share different stuff.It's basically a kind of "physical hyper-threading".
 
The 4670k is the best choice for the middle road (performance,but not money waster).

ill definitely buy it when it comes out but im fine with just re installing HL1/2 once every other year and still enjoying it like it was the first time i played them

So for the people who still care about the long awaited half-life 3/Episode 3, Gabe Newell has spoken about why there has not been any official announcements about the game.
In an interview with The Washington Post Gabe told them that valve could of concentrated on developing Single-Player sequels but they wanted to try different things.
"When we started out we were a single-player video game company that could have been really successful just doing Half Life sequel after Half Life sequel, but we collectively said let's try to make multiplayer games even though there's never been a commercial successful multiplayer game. "Then we tried to do Steam. There were a bunch of people internally who thought Steam was a really bad idea, but what they didn't think was that they would tell the people who were working on Steam what to do with their time."
So one of the main reasons why HL3 has not been confirmed is because they wanted try making other games that where not just single-player. So with their titles such as TF2 and DoTA 2 having so much attention and are being on a lot has made a distraction from the Half-life series and they are most likely making new and great ideas for a new multiplayer game instead (Like new new not like sequels)

Get an 8320 over 8350 IMO, they OC the same and you cans pend the saved money on a better MOBO. or an ssd, or a different GPU.
