  1. Intel has SLASHED CPU (Correction Retailers) slash on x99 cpu's Because of the Ryzen price releases Example: Amazon has a intel 6 core 40 lane CPU that was $628.00 now $358.99. Is it a good time to get a bump in your x99 system or wait?
  2. if it beyond RMA - Asus has 3 and 5 year limited warranties I would check that 1st they are good about getting you a working board Also Intel has made a price drop! I haven't seen this happen in years !! This may breath new life into x99 Systems and for those who want "40 pci lanes" don't have to spend over 600 us dollars https://www.amazon.com/s?field-keywords=6850k&tag=amz-mkt-ie-us-20&ascsubtag=1ba00-01000-org00-def00-dsk00-nomod-us000-gatwy-feature-SEARC In my opinion, new systems are incremental bumps of improvement hardy worth a complete system overhaul atm.
