  1. Is your SSD set as the boot drive in your bios?
  2. i mean corsair and evga theyre just fine for the workload so dont hate and theyre two of the most commonly used brands for psus ok and at least support your burn with some advice for people to improve their brains and knowledge of psus im not trying to offend you or anything just say nicely that theyre bad or something and reccomend your choice if you were gonna build this ok? just trying to maintain peace within the forum
  3. I would reccomend Fractal Design Define R6 Link: PC part picker: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/n297YJ/fractal-design-define-r6-black-tg-atx-mid-tower-case-fd-ca-def-r6-bk-tg Fractal Official: http://www.fractal-design.com/home/product/cases/define-series/define-r6-black It has many hard drive mounts and is pretty small for a case (ATX Mid tower)
  4. Yea thanks for the advice but i also havent really decided how many cores i should really get so if im getting more cores should i go with ryzen 7 because kaby lake x processors are pretty pricey
  5. I want to build a pc for mainly premiere. can someone advise if the parts that i like is suitable? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/vjRRBb Haven't Decided on GPU yet so please give some reccomendations Thanks
  6. I think the GPU is the one making the build a little over your budget. you see the RX 560 recently made the news and wan show that AMD was slowing it down through drivers updates to around a RX460 speeds so you could technically buy a RX460. https://www.pcworld.com/article/3240264/components-graphics/amd-quietly-radeon-rx-560-graphics-cards-worse.html
  7. Yes i agree! and cooling should be one of the most important in workstation PCs because of the stress on the CPUs
  8. i think you should go for what you think your dad likes the best. e.g if your dad likes linux go linux you can try this if you want to game on linux
  9. The Ryzen Stock coolers are usually good and way better than the intel stocks. one thing to note is that you should monitor your temperatures while running some stress tests/games that you play. if you feel it is running at a too high temoerature, upgrade your cooler. Having overkill cooling isnt going to harm your build
  10. YES i agree with you. It's just that most modern systems support mostly DDR4
  11. for good motherboards, since u went with a K CPU Z270/Z370 is the best options for 7th gen / 8th gen mainly ASUS MSI GIGABYTE ASROCK are good brands and you may find one with some value for money and make sure the motherboards have what you need. e.g. LED Lighting HEaders/ enough DIMM Slots for ram /enough SATA ports/M.2 Slots for storage
  12. I Rather you buy a new ram kit for a few hundred $$ because there really is no point trying to run ddr3 on a 7 gen CPU. and no point buying an older and used CPU.
  13. Then u can go 1070, 1080, 1080 ti, titan xp all the high end stuff
  14. Yes. I like the mirrorless cameras better even though my experience was bad at first, but the new sony a series of mirrorless cameras made me drool. i now regret buying a t6i too fast. i find the a6300 or a6500 good for run&gun/ amatuer shooting and the a7rii a beast for stills and a7sii better for video.
