  1. Like I said not sure the exact case I will have to ask them later, but I know how to properly size the case vs the motherboard and cooler. Ill be good but thanks.
  2. They have told me they have a specific case in mind alreeady, have not yet asked them which one. The ssd will be added on the side by them for the boot drive. And for the cooler I was just thinking a coolermaster hyper 212 evo
  3. Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z270E GAMING GPU: Gigabyte gtx 1080 And of course that hxi 850i pus
  4. @deemoleaks @seon123 Can we not try to get into an arguement about PSU's they are only slightly different most of the time, a PSU is a PSU. I would appreciate some helpfull comments here instead of an arguement thanks.
  5. They plan to use it as a primary gaming pc, but on the side as an editing pc for light media work / photoshop.
  6. They can afford to get an ssd for a boot drive on the side, im trying to just cram as much raw power as I can into the build. Also the 8700k costs a fair ammount more. Im worried that the ram will be bottlenecking the gpu if its only at 16.
  7. So im building a pc for a friend with a budget of 1500$ USD. Was just wondering yours guys opinions on the parts so far.... CPU: I7-7700k Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z270E GAMING Ram: Corsair vengeance LPX 32gb DDR4 2400 GPU: Gigabyte gtx 1080 PSU: Corsair HXi 850i And for hard drive ands ssds they can buy a few on their own as they upgrade. what do you guys think of that build so far?
  8. Only thing else I have to say is I've gotten some reviews from Newegg saying that the 1950x can run games at ultra or 4k fine with 60 fps while doing other tasks, but are you saying the i9-7900x is potentially better at gaming but a slight bit less great at streaming?
  9. Just dedicate certain cores to running the game and certain ones to OBS, or whichever streaming program ill use at that time.
  10. The 1950x has a much higher core count and thread count though, so wouldn't that be a lot better for streaming?
  11. Hi everyone, So I was reorganizing my pc build for early 2018, and came across AMD Threadripper 1950x, ive heard it can be great for streaming and playing games at high settings, but was wondering how it stacks up against the core i9 or the core i7-7700k. [Note I am fully aware the i7-7700k is incredibly less expensive than the 1950x, but im trying to figure out which one is best for playing and streaming at once, price is not a problem. Thanks.
  12. So the deepcool genome 2 looks like an awesome case, lots of cable management, a well organized look, and an integrated water cooling aio loop with a neat front pipe that's explosed. Though some people have said that it leaks or is a bad case, I'm wondering is this true or if you know any other case that has these features that would be nice to know as well.
  13. Ended up actually being 400$ [CAD] cheaper.
  14. Sorry got those 2 terms confused for a second.
