  1. Well, there’s no way I’ll get these parts anytime soon so I’ll obviously wait and see what comes out.
  2. What is known about said chips at this point? Anything? Possibly an alternative to the Ryzen 5 1600?
  3. Thank you for the advice, I kind of figured this would be the case. I was already leaning towards Ryzen. I’m interested to see other people’s thoughts as well.
  4. I’m currently running an XFX R7 260x 2GB (double dissipation) and an AMD A10-6700 @ 3.7 GHz. My motherboard is an Asus M11BB. I’m an avid gamer and probably game 5-8 hours a day (More on the weekends) I would like to upgrade and don’t know whether I should go with AMD or Intel. Currently I’d say the bottleneck in my system is the APU and I realize once I upgrade my CPU, my GPU will be the bottleneck. I occasionally edit videos of my gameplay and can only game/record at 1680x1050 because of my weird 16:10 monitor. The main use for this CPU would be gaming. When I make videos I make them in 720p 60fps. I would also like to stream in the future.
  5. I have the AMD A10-6700 APU, On all the websites I am looking at, it is advertised as 4 cores but my windows is only saying it has 2 cores with 4 logical processors. I know that they sometimes advertise dual cores as quad cores because they have hyperthreading (Which I think is dumb) but I'm just wondering if it is TRULY a dual core or quad core.
  6. When using afterburner is there anything I need to know? I don't expect to push this card too far with 3 case fans but it is in my chilly 60-65 degree basement. What intervals should I bump the MHz up by and what should I and what shouldn't I mess with?
  7. They don't seem to have anything, just link to AMD site for drivers and what not. I've never gotten in depth with Overclocking. Old PC had a HD Radeon 6770 and OC'd that to a little over 1000 MHz but didn't understand what I was doing. Used Catalyst for that. I just don't know how to Overclock and don't know what software to use.
  8. I realize a XFX R7 260x isn't the ideal gaming GPU for today's games but I came across one for free and couldn't resist trying it out. It's currently the best GPU I have (lol) and would like to see what I could get out of it with some overclocking. **I am using air cooling only**I have no idea the best way to overclock an AMD GPU. Tried googling and got outdated videos that don't work anymore. Was wondering if someone could help me.Thanks!
