ricksteendam1 got a reaction from btng in Is 6/8 memory slots occupied bad?
you can still use quad channel. I'm using 3x8 now and I can use dual channel I have no reason to suspect that on quad channel this would be different.

this is a little more for your cash.
and optane is meant for speeding up hard drives (HDD) not solid state drives (SSD).
you probably wont need 32 gb of ram
that psu and mobo are really expensive
the case is also expensive
the air cooler is alright but I would go with an aio at this price point
the SSD is overkill you would probably be fine with a 1tb HDD and a boot SSD

I have switch out the ram for some faster cheaper ram and put a beefier power supply in it so you will be sitting on top of the efficiency. curve.

the FTW 3 card is the best of the 2, you won't need a GPU bracket. it might be nice it will prevent your card from hanging down on the front right spot but that's the only thing it will do.

ricksteendam1 got a reaction from GirvanaWantsBinnieBalls in Is this ram brand any good ?
as far is i know Mushkin only makes server ram but you can take a look to team group night hawk sticks, second no your wrait cooler won't block your ram

ricksteendam1 got a reaction from paddy-stone in 2 Single stick RAM's as Dual Channel!?
your mobo is dual channel, not your ram sticks but yea as long as they both have the same speed that will work but if not it will still work but then with both sticks on the speed of the slowest stick

ricksteendam1 got a reaction from Baj in Is this actually and upgrade?
yea then the speed of the slowest stick will be applied and your CPU probably mostly won't benefit from more ram
