You clearly have not built in even a smaller ATX case (Phanteks P300 or the like) with a non-modular PSU. It's awful. Semi modular I agree is fine, but non modular? Absolutely not. Never. Especially when almost every halfway decent PSU is semi modular at least these days anyway. Also, don't buy Thermaltake anything, please. They've done some shady shit in the past and also IIRC the Toughpower Grand is not great for the price. Also, 550 is already well above the "bare minimum" which would be 400W. A 3900X and 2080 Ti can be run off a 550W PSU comfortably.

I have the exact same board, and exact same SSD. I put it in the bottom one because style points. I have a 2080 super, and there's zero issues with the temp, and this bohemoth covers the chipset fan too

X79 is an old enough platform that its not worth putting more money into IMO.
