  1. So I did the BIOS update and fresh installed Windows and stopped having high cpu usage for no reason, thanks guys!
  2. Thanks so much for the advices. I think I'll just do a fresh install of windows just to make sure. If it doesn't work, I'll just have to try and figure out what is causing this strange usage pattern and/or undervolt as you said.
  3. This was my first thought. But I did install the cooler again. Made sure it was well mounted and the thermal paste was well applied. But the temperatures didn't change. I just hope I didn't mount the cooler too tight
  4. So, I still didn't check the BIOS because a the store they said that since they are partners with Asus, the motherboards they sell are updated with the latest BIOS... I'll check and update the BIOS (if needed when I get home)
  5. So I decided to upgrade my build and swapped my ryzen 1600 and msi b350m pro vdh with the ryzen 5600x and TUF gaming b550 plus. Also added a new SSD (Samsung 980 1T) The rest of the build is a rtx2060 and 2x8Gb ripjaws V 3200MHz. Cooler is the cooler master hyper 212 black edition RGB I used the same boot drive I previously had nada didn't have time to reset and reinstall windows, I'm planning on doing it this weekend. In the motherboard bios only set the ram xmp profile and selected the turbo fans profile. Afterwards I installed the new chipset from the mobo website. And here is the reason for my post: I use hwmonitor to check on the cores usage and temps... And I was getting about 60-65°C on idle and nothing seemed to lower that. Did a userbenchmark to compare to other ryzens 5600x, and I got lower score 87%, compared to scores 90-100% After this, I tried reapplying the thermal paste, but nothing changed. The temps were the same, but I noticed that the CPU wasn't really idle, there were some cores being used at 100%. Somehow there was a moment when the Cores were really at 0% and the temps got much lower. About 39/40°C So it seems that the temps are fine, but what's bugging me is the userbenchmark score compared to other ryzens.. Should I be worried or do anything else? (Sorry if I take a little to answer. I'm at work) Userbenchmark score: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/51794154
  6. First of all, thanks for the sugestion. Could you pls explain why it is trash? Regarding the 4 sticks of ddr4, i dont understand why you are saying "good joke". As you can see by the following pic of the mobo (from msi site), it really has 4 dimm slots.
  7. Hey guys! I'm upgrading my fx6300 for a r5 1600, and I'm thinking of getting the msi b350m pro-vdh. However, i didnt find a single review of this mb online (at least in english). I dont intend to overclock my cpu, but if i do it will be minimal overclock. Finally, ill be using 3200MHz ddr4 2x8gb and might add the other 2x8 later on (since the mb supports it), oh and ill never use more than 1 gpu. I think this mb would be enough for this build, but pls help me! If possible i would really appreciate if some one could tell me more about this mobo. (I dont really have the knowledge of a pro pc builder, but i do get most of the basic stuff.)
