  1. I am looking for an Ultrawide monitor (size 34" or more) that will be a significant improvement from my current Dell ST2220L monitor. I primarily game on my ps4 but I occasionally play pc strategy games like Rome II, Shogun II (Total War) etc. So, I ideally, I want a monitor that looks great and also offers me a competitive edge while playing Frist Person Shooter games on my PS4 (ex. Battlefield 1, COD etc). My current pc graphics card is a EVGA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. My budget is ~$200-$450. Will only go as far as $500 if it is absolutely worth it. Thanks!
  2. Hi, I currently only have one 32 gb USB drive and I would like partition it into 3 drives and then use that to boot and install 3 operating systems (windows 10 home, windows 10 education and Ubuntu 16.04). Is that possible? Could the formatting phase affect the other 2 partitions of the USB drive? Similarly, can I do the same process on an external hard drive? In other words, can I partition the external HDD and thereby section off my personal files and still be able to use that external HDD to boot and install the new operating system? I hope my question was clear. If not, let me and I will provide more information. Thanks!
  3. Hi all, The 2 old Hdds (see attached pictures) are not responding when I connect them to my laptop via a SATA III HDD usb 3.0 adapter. I am not sure why it doesn't respond. Initially, I thought it might be because there isn't sufficient power from the USB 3.0 port but as you can see from the picture the Western Gate HDD requires only 5V: .68A. I know from googling that my USB 3.0 port can provide a max of Voltage= 5V, Current= .9A so I am not sure what the problem could be....I know that the Western Gate HDD works when its in it's my old pc. Any ideas?
  4. Hi Everyone, I am new here and I recently signed up for an account after coming across the Linus' Youtube videos. I am not techy person but I am very eager to learn. I have 2 questions I will like to have answered. 1) I am considering buying extra memory for my Dell laptop which is a little old (bought in 2012). I am interested in improving the laptop's performance by upgrading some of the hardware (Current PC Specs are listed in the attachment). I have already tried software optimization applications to clean the computer, but the improvements were very modest. I don't use my laptop for gaming so I don't I need any upgrades on the video cards etc. I learned that upgrading the memory sticks is one way of improving performance but I also heard that there is a limit where any additional memory would not really affect the performance. I want to know if my current 8 gigabyte (two 4 gig sticks) is my limit. Would it be worth it to buy say an 8-gigabyte stick to increase the total memory to 12 gigabytes or more? 2)Is there such a thing as a wireless adapter which can connect my usb splitter to my laptop wirelessly? I mean like a 2-piece device that allows wireless connection between a usb splitter and my laptop so that I can connect my external hard-drive, printer and other devices wirelessly. I am interested in reducing the amount of wiring/cables that are currently all over the place at my workstation. Thanks in advance for your help! Laptop SPECS.bmp
