  1. Hi, Today, after rebooting my pc all my files and folders inside the desktop and document folders had two blue arrows on the top right corner on the icon. After some reseach, I found that those two folders had the "compress contents to save disk scape" case checked. For the moment, I didn't find any other folder with that case checked. I'm wondering why those folders have been compressed by themselves and why only those two folders?
  2. Oh, I didn't know. Basically, If my adapter is using the bluetooth version 2.0 only one speaker will work?
  3. Hi, I have two bluetooth speakers that are supossed to work together. When I use them with my phone the speakers works simultaneous. However, I can't get both speaker connected at a time on my desktop. I can only get one speaker connected then I can't connect the other one unless I turn off the first one. I bought a pretty cheap bluetooth usb card. I'm wondering if that is the problem?
  4. I have the same issue on linux. I even tried a live dvd without any hard drive.
  5. Hi, I have a asus laptop with windows 7 and ubuntu. Eveything works fine, except when I try to turn off the laptop using the windows or ubuntu button, the screen goes black, but the cpu fan and the power led keeps working. I have to hold the power button for 5 seconds to shut down the laptop completely I tried with a linux live dvd and few seconds after I clicked on the power off button the laptop freeze on the screen with all the commands. However, I found something interesting, I guess. Maybe someone will be able to help me. I noted three commands: "Could not unmount /lib/live/mount/medium device is busy" "Failed to finalize file system, ignoring" "acpi: preparing to enter in sleep mode" Then, the laptop freeze to: "reboot: power off"
  6. Hi, I had a issue with my microphone. Basically there was some noise and the microphone sound level was too loud. After some researches, I found in recording devices two options active. My microphone and Realtek digital input. Realtek digital input device seems to catch some sound from somewhere, so I just disabled it and then the microphone works well again. However, now even if I activate realtek digital input, the microphone still works well. I'm wondering what realtek digital input is ?
  7. Oh! I think you are right karath. It seems to be a case issue. I'll try something tommorow. I see a little random metal cube outside the case. I think it can block the card. I found the issue, the case block the dvi port, so I can't pull out the card. Alright! I removed the top dvi pin and it works. I finally pulled out the card. Thanks guys !
  8. I even tried with a screw driver to fully open the lock. However, the other end of the card where the dvi port is doesn't move at all. I'll try again tomorrow with more force. This is the first time I have trouble to remove a graphic card.
  9. I took out the screw and I disconnected the cables. I can't not break something if I use a lot of force ?
  10. Hi, I have an old ati graphic card and I would like to remove it. However, the graphic card seems to be stuck in the pci express slot. I push the black lock and this end of the card gets off a bit, but the other end doesn't move at all. I try to wiggle the card even pull the card quite hard, but it still stuck. Anyone have an idea ?
  11. Hi! Today my power cord stopped working suddenly. I was using my computer then the the pc has turned off. I tried an other cord and it works. I would like to know if a power cord can stop working like that and what can cause that ? Thanks!
  12. I tried, but the laptop has already the latest bios.
  13. Hi, I have a asus laptop with windows 7 and ubuntu. Eveything works fine, except when I try to turn off the laptop using the windows or ubuntu button, the screen goes black, but the cpu fan and the power led keeps working. I have to hold the power button 5 seconds to shut down the laptop. I have the same issue on safe mode or even on a live dvd.
  14. Update: With speedfan the cpu and core temp are between 93-98C idle. However, the laptop is not hot at all and the air flow is not even hot. Futhermore, even with a stress test the temperature stay between 95-99C. I don't know if the temps are correct or the sensors are just broken.
