  1. well aswell as i'm getting smooth gameplay i can't complain any further.. first world problems i guess?
  2. it did improve a little bit, yet after the clean install of the driver things got a bit worse actually haha but thanks for the tips and explanations!
  3. what does shader clock mean anyway? i performed a clean install of my gpu driver, and deinstalled and installed afterburner. still shows the shader clock tho.
  4. I didn't play it with any other gpu than my gtx 1070.. so the driver updates have been automatically installing from nvidia geforce center. Don't tink that's the problem. I don't even know what shaderclock does lol. Anything i should do with it?
  5. hey my cpu usage is around 50% on each core as far as i can see and understand afterburner. the power and temp limit crank isn't dangerous for my gpu?
  6. hey yeah first is power, second is temperature and third is usage. forgot to adjust language in afterburner.. yeah it's not that i am not getting smooth gameplay but i was just wondering if something was wrong with my 1070. since most ppl seem to get better results with it. it doesnt drop below 70 fps any time so it's ok..
  7. hey thanks already for your extensive reply. so for your questions: i attached a afterburner print screen where as you see the loaded parts of my gpu are when i played a round of bf1. i play on a 60hz monitor atm. If i change my settings from ultra to high i notice no fps increase. if i drop down to medium i see like 15-20 fps increase.. it's not that i'm getting shitty gameplay or so.. i'm just wondering why everyone else is getting much bettter fps with the same gpu..
  8. Hey guys, I've been playing BF1 lately on my setup, using my gtx 1070. I see everybody getting 100fps + on a 1080 monitor on ultra with that gpu. Yet mine seems to shift between 65-85. never above 85. I'm wondering if anything else in my rig is bottlenecking my gpu? When i check msi kombuster to check temps etc my fan speed of the gpu is only at 40% during gaming and it keeps it steady at 70°C. so i think that isn't the problem either? my cpu: I7 3770 3.4GHz 16gb of DDR3 ram
  9. Thanks for your reply. Yeah my main concern now is if my 1070 will maintain a good performance on 1440p .. like 60-100fps ish and if it's only around 60fps if it will look smooth.. i have no idea about that. I guess everything is smoother then my 60hz 1080p monitor atm? even at 1440p
  10. Thanks for your reply, i don't really need an IPS panel. never had one so can't say that i want one. as far as the S2416dg goes. i can't find any shop in my country that sells it seems to be the problem with many monitors. what would be the main difference between the 27 and 24 inch one? does it ask even more from my gpu if it's a 27? or would i get the same results as you had if i bought the 27 inch. edit: actually found a shop that sells it.. it's a decent amount cheaper indeed.. 1440p on 24 inch looks sweet aswell or? Again , thanks for your extensive reply! Greets Yente
  11. hey guys, i'm checking around to buy a new monitor for my gaming setup with a gtx 1070. I've been reading the forum and can't seem to get a clear opinion. I want a monitor that takes full advantage of my 1070's capabilities. so should i go with a 1080p 144hz g-sync or with a 1440p 144hz g-sync? i know i can't expect 100+ fps on a 1440p monitor with my gpu. Yet if the gameplay will be smooth enough at maxxed or high settings that would be ok for me since i can always upgrade my gpu or go sli with it. the 2 monitors i currently got a price estimate on are these 2: acer predator xb241h (144-165hz g-sync 1080p) for 325€. Dell s2716DG (144hz 1440p g-sync) for 588€. i don't mind spending 600-700€ but it has to be worth it. so if anyone has a better suggestion i am open for it. i don't care about the aesthetics of the monitor and it's bezel etc so i'm not willing to pay more just for the look of it. thanks in advance!
