It's a reasonable price, but 2GB is kinda limiting these days, you'll run into problems running games in the near future, if playing at 1080p or higher.  Some games will even complain today that you don't have at least 3 GB of memory on the video card.
 
I wouldn't get such a card, if I were to make a new PC I would just buy a Ryzen 2400g for ~160$ ... even the Ryzen 2200g at 100$ would be OK for watching movies and browsing and playing occasionally - the graphics would probably be weaker than a dedicated RX 460 (in the case of 2200g, 2400g may be a bit better than a RX 460)

Kind of a rudimentary explanation for how drivers work but....
 
You install a Driver  > driver gets stored into Windows System Folder 
You insert a New Card >  Windows looks through to see if it can locate a driver    
If it can, it will either use it automatically,  Ask you first and you will get a prompt, OR  you have to tell windows in device manage to update the driver.
 
Driver folder will always store the drivers until they are either replaced or deleted!  
Soo unless your 1080 driver "replaces" the 970 driver,  the most you would have to do is run nvidia experience again/device manager. 
 
side note:  chipotle is doing a teachers/educators get a bogo.
 
 
 

You can install the 970 drivers alongside the 1080 Ti drivers. Windows won't care.

I think its safe to say they didn't do much to fix the issue, if you've RMA'ed it.   Assuming that's what you did ...  My .....  what ever that is to English translator doesn't work that well, so I could be interpreting what you're trying to say incorrectly.

For budget builds I've always used the dell xps 8300 board.  Its DDR3 LGA 1155 though and can only use 2nd gen stuff.  You can get it around 40 shipped new, but no IO shield.

You can with speedfan but that is a not-so smart idea. I would prefer 50-150RPM rather than 0RPM.

Who plans the shots that are added into the LTT videos? They ALWAYS fit into context but at the same time are so far out of the spectrum of normal. The little things are what makes the videos so entertaining.

I personally use the 600mb one though,  I have a switch attached to it to plug in Comp, PS4, and Media Player.

I actually managed to craigslist my 1070 for 300 and its been working like a champ.  The only thing you should be iffy about used is prob HDDs.

6/7th gen has different pins than 8th gen even though it's the same socket. 
Max you're going to get is 7th gen w/ that motherboard; update bios to get that support.

Unless he's a high target for a government agency, there's no real need to go overboard with security.  Most video connections are secure, messages are encrypted -- and the only real way someone can get access to anything related to him is if the service gets hacked.
 
But if we're gonna talk about theory,
 
I guess you can both use VPN's on both sides,  and use a provider you trust.  As long as you initiate the call while on the VPN,  and he accepts the call using the VPN that's the most you really have to do.  If he's worried about getting his IP logged anywhere,  his ISP will always know his IP address, but his equipment and his activities online should be protected ( Granted you use a trust worthy VPN).
 
You can go crazy and use tor on top of it, but that's tinfoil hat status lol

YouTube's current algorithm currently checks multiple factors.  I can honestly lecture you a good semester about this topic, because there are a lot of points that make sense, while others are just contradiction.
 
I'm going to summarize this the best I can, so please bare with me.
 
1.  New content that has a high growth rate will always be on top of old content that appear in someones search.
 
2. Old content that appear first are the result of a few things.  Do people who search your keywords click your video?  If people do,  then google knows that if someone searches the word "Pineapple Pizza",  Your video probably has good information if a lot of users are interacting with it.
 
3.  Does your video contain the users search phrase?  For example,  If you search "Pineapple Pizza"  and your video is about computer parts,  the search engine isn't doing a good job with linking users to your video.
 
For more information I suggest you research SEO. 
 
Now,  its not as simple as following a set of steps.  For example,  Users don't interact with videos that have nothing to do with the topic they search for,  or if the video quality just isn't good.  You can't get views if people don't like your videos,  and the search engine won't put your video on top if users are not interacting with it.  It will think that your video will be a bad choice for that keyword. 
 
Also,  don't start your videos with Hey Guys, Today I'm going to show you....  or SUBSCRIBE NOW, LIKE MY VIDEO... etc. lol

It can alter or generate signals if the magnetic field is constantly changing but it's likely not going to happen unless you have a rather strong magnetic field.
 
Otherwise nothing much happens. There is a concern that magnetic storage media like hard drives are affected by altering the arrangement of the "bits", but the electromagnet in those is typically much stronger than what most people have handy access to (this is after looking up on the interwebs what would putting a computer on a subwoofer would do). That is to say, most hard drives already have a very strong magnet in them (to move the head), so if that isn't influencing the arrangement of the bits on the drive, then I don't think much else would short of an MRI.
