Stormcrownn's Achievements

  1. Honestly didn't really think about it that way, but that is the case yeah. I'd say front+rear is about the same, the top is the only one that's lighter, but that makes sense now that I think about it. Temps aren't a huge problem, I was mainly concerned I wired something wrong with the PST/Passthrough stuff or fan header ports.
  2. All 7 fans on my P500A are Arctic P12/P14. The front three are intake, and the top 3 are exhaust, also rear fan is exhaust. The top three really don't seem to be moving much air, to the point where I feel like I should flip the first fan to be intake, for 4 intake and 3 exhaust. CPU is a 5900x and Noctua NH-D15, FTW Ultra 3080 below that. I've wired them through the chained cabling to CHA_FAN1 and CHA_FAN2. Worried I've done something wrong in setting them up.
  3. I'm concerned that it I use both m.2 slots on my motherboard it'll end up slowing down things on my cpu/Mobo. Unable to get a solid answer through googling...
  4. I'll side with nekogod here. I also have a 4790k, 32GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600hz since ~2014/2015. I've recently upgraded to a 1080 ti, and I still hit 100+ fps on 1440p/G-sync monitor. I have no issues lowering shadows or whatever if I dip into 60s and 50s. Future proof definitely applies. When the 6xxx/7xxx/8xxx all were introduced i looked at the comparisons, costs involved, and none of them have warranted the full upgrade to DDR/Mobo/etc. Likely as more developers start utilizing Vulcan/DX12 and possibly designing game engines around using multiple cores, we might see the newer 6+ core cpus bench higher...but its pretty much a crapshoot. They've put a lot of money into the DX9/11 engines and won't abandon them easily.
  5. Years ago I bought some Sennheiser HD 700s, and while I enjoy them for certain types of music, they are decidedly underwhelming with anything using bass. (I was real shit at researching...) I've been looking at Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 250 Ohm, and DT990 Premium. Primarily for Hip Hop/R&B/EDM music, as well as gaming. I'm leaning towards the 770's as they offer something different, and I think the 990's might be a bit too similar to my HD 700s. Frustratingly in my research now, I've seen a handful of anecdotes from people saying the 770s had very overwhelming bass, and the 990s are far better for gaming. Also seen several comments about the 990s bass doesn't compare to the 770s. It leaves me a tad confused. $180 is reasonably within my budget, but I made a poor decision previously based on not enough research and do not wish to do so again.
  6. I'd side with intender. Unless you do a *lot* of photo/video editing, the benefits of a 34" ultrawide vs two monitors (ideally one 144hz and the other color accuracy/quality) simply don't match. I also agree with him on games not supporting it.
  7. Hello, My mom recently passed away and I wanted to give her MSI Laptop to my grandmother to use, but I want to clone her current computer so i can access it like it is now. Ideally i'd like to have her existing system cloned onto a 3.5" HDD so i can have it in my current PC tower. I'm not sure of the cheapest way to do this, so I would greatly appreciate any suggestions/assistance.
