oh yup i get you now thanks. i don't think i'll be hearing from him again today to be honestly as this has gone on for months now of back and forth so he's probably not willing to have to go through troubleshooting today. just got offline on discord so please keep and eye out here for in the near future

v sync is only turned on periodically to test differences and no this is not the issue at all. attempting to get him to go through the uninstall now. even though it's been stated multiple times from various trusted sources before that i'm still going from a GTX card to another GTX card and should not have the requirement to do so as i never did when i did my transfer even all the way up to the 3070ti i have now in my rig so why does he have to just to even work. shall keep you posted

i have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers but only from geforce experience PC spec i5 7400, MSI Ventus x2 1660ti, can't remember the board exctly but a small ITX board and (2x8gb) 16gb Xpower RAM clocked at 2400 i believe, 750w 80+ gold PSU

so recently i have built a new rig and i ended up giving my friend the old one. it had an i5 7400 & GTX 1060 (3gb) in it when i gave it to him in which it was running great for him. then i figured i would help him out a little more with a slight future proof and gave him a GTX 1660 Ti and a 240mm AIO. of course the temps dropped but the performance is horrid. he can't seem to play anything more then terraria without heavy stutter. i'm genuinly so lost at this point and he's messaging every other day with understandable frustrations but i have the rona and can't go diagnose in person so it's becoming increasingly more frustrating for myself. PLEASE HELP!? (neither GPU are OC'd fyi)

ok thanks heaps. so i think i'll buy the kraken x62 for now to get that magic 5ghz then at a later date when i haven't spent so much in 1 go i'll upgrade to a custom loop but thanks so much for all your help guys. still gonna watch that link after i clean the house just thought i'd check in quickly and the ammount of replies has been amaing as im quite new to the whole liquid scene any and all links to help me out with learning all ins and outs would be amazing if you can. (preferably vids thx)

ok yes its a router and thats all i was really wondering. i think. i just wanted to know i guess if because it has been turned into an access point if all the LAN ports were turned into input ports only but that helps alot thanks. i just didn't want to deactivate it and ruin my old modem without knowing if this could be done or not

or do i not have to turn it into an access point and just leave it as a modem and plug in the ethernet cable thats in my pc at the moment into the WAN port and then my pc into the LAN ports on the back of it?

so i know that i can turn my old router into an access point/WIFI extension but if i do so can i still plug in another ethernet cable into the second LAN port and run that to my pc and use it without wifi as i've just built my fiance a pc and we both have them in the same room and neither have wifi cards so i basically just want to use my old router for extra ports in my room as i had to run a 30m one to my room just for my pc before and don't want to have to do another and just want to use the old router as a switch of sorts. can i do this?

Well yes i'll be running 1 if not 2 if its possible through the iGPU after activating it in bios so that's how i am going to have all of them plugged in without the hub needed. Hopefully that borderless window idea works though as thats what i have to do already on my dual set up to even be able to access the other screen during a game as im not using surround yet so i would be having it in borderless no matter what unless it can't work that way Lastly, if i have monitors check boxes unchecked in surround can i still make them active through windows display settings like normal?

Only have 1 PCIe port with my new gtx 1060 in it so that can't really happen + i dont want the 2 to be done in eyefinity or surround. Just normal, Extended, Windows multi monitor set up
