  1. TYVM for your input mate, I think this could have worked too however see my recent reply. It may actually have you on the most recent update on that machine if you wanted on your troubled OC. Worked for me
  2. That's what I said IRL, was about to get my ubunto stick out.
  3. EVERYONE HERE HAVING THIS ISSUE THIS MAY HELP YOU IN THE FUTURE. So, this resolved my issue. I followed this guide; This was the issue, however using that update MAY have actually fixed it too. As it wouldn't have messed with a windows update version.
  4. So, I had issues in the past however... for some DUMB ****KING STUPID REASON. I decided to press the reset cmos button start a new. Anyway, I overclock to 4.3 GHZ. at 1.35 volts. My BIOS says 4.3GHZ. Windows however shows 3799.31MHz (99.98 x 38.0) . However I'm running 100 @ 43.0 in bios.(even when I turn off pc and check after it being 3.8 in windows) What gives? If my pc had issues with the stability of my OC it would crash at as normal... however i'm booting to windows and i'm at 3.8?????? my stock is 3.4 which is even more baffling. C state : disabled speedstep: disabled bclk: 100(auto).
  5. 1.4 and up respectively. Motherboard is pretty new, seems fresh no real issues with it so far. I don't know about CPU as again surely I would feel dips. I have XMP profiling on my memory to 3000 if that makes any difference too? Any other ideas? Sam
  6. Still having problems actually, it will not detect my video output. boot loop for about 50 seconds then I have to turn all the cpu overclocking down for it to boot again. I removed speedstep as per some instructions I have found, still having the same issues. Someone suggested it could be C state power settings? However im skeptical. I'm only trying to 3.8ghz also so surely there is some power setting or its over heating? I dont get it. Sam
  7. I wouldn't go for Zowie anymore, they're nice but they have older sensors now. I would fully recommend going for the Logitech G Pro, This takes the nimble and light weight features from the Zowie range and puts it into more advanced software and has the 3366 which is the best or arguably one of the best sensors on the market. I've used the Rival 300, Razer DA-E, Zowie EC2A + ZA12 also the G900. I've finally settled on the G - PRO. It's insanely good and at the moment reasonably priced. Don't count it out. I would fully recommend it. Find below a really good website ( also has a youtube channel ) http://www.rocketjumpninja.com This guy will help in picking the right mouse for you, After all its all about preference Sam
  8. I appreciate the support, i'm going to try later on today when I've stopped bricking my pants after the 40 minute boot cycles :))))) In seriousness thanks for your time, sorry I don't know much!
  9. Sorry, Intel(r) Turbo Boost Max Technology. Think its about boosting the CPU when needed, was with prerequisites with my mobo. Sam
  10. Thanks, How can I tell AVX is being used? I also have intel turbo boosting utility Should I turn this off when doing this or wouldn't it affect functionality, Appreciate your replies and sorry for all the questions, I am REALLY keen to learn. Sam
  11. Sup doods, To home your concerns to my stupidity, the boot loop cycled and I am indeed in use of my machine again. However I'm using an X99 Taichi motherboard with the 6800k. with 600W of power to play with and a 960 < yes this is to be replaced. So, when using the default settings, not tweaking much at all I simply used their stock settings as 4.0 ghz on my bios, boot cycled, changed to 3.8, boot cycled. turned off (now we gucci people) I want to get more power out of my CPU. But as you can probably tell by the lack of detail in this post I have sonic retardation. I'm watching beginners guides and I find it quite difficult to gauge what each things do, I'm a practical learner however simply playing around with settings without knowing on your bios for overclocking can be an expensive way to learn. Should I just do this manually? If so, how would you go about it in the safest possible way? I'm not interested in smashing it to 65498645 ghz and melting my CPU in a couple years but, it would be nice to get a little more out of it and to be honest learning, so I can start comparing dicks with other enthusiasts and knowing what they're talking about Sam
  12. Hi everyone, For some reason the X99 Audio Chipset "AUTO" Function, actually disables onboard audio when a soundcard is plugged in. All fixed.
