  2. I could watch the RAM increase in realtime while writing to the DR-LESS SSD, it could be a few gig extra RAM use at times, slowly climbing, then falling, then rising, then falling, meanwhile, the average response time (shown in task manager looking at drive stats) the response times get into the 'seconds' not milliseconds. (1000-4000ms) response times when active. Just not ideal whatsoever for a Boot Drive where you are likely also Multitasking... or trying to. Maybe its MY USE case, or even MY drive in question vs someone elses dramless drive without much issue. (Not all drives ARE equal is true) I am just explaining what I saw over time using it as I do.
  3. Dram for sure on a BOOT DRIVE. Don't make the same mistakes as me and others... Sorry for this novel....
  4. The Witcher 3 Raytraced | The Bathhouse & Lost Treasures

  5. A Plague Tale Requiem | Nvidia DLDSR 2880x1620p on RTX2080Ti OC

  6. Ahh ok I was just eyeballing temps and core frequency mostly, I might be wrong but I swear Power Virus detection and lower VCore protection was a thing in the past and maybe still in the present/future.
  7. Beats not having a GPU...or something slower, it's not the best price it's been over the years, but markets change. It's a good performer in many titles still, esp from years past where it reigns supreme in DX12/Vulkan getting good performance at 1080p Medium-High settings. Newer games, FSR comes in clutch for a 1080p reconstructed from lower res 720p/800p/900p or any game with a res scaler, but these technologies are getting better all the time. Repasting GPU's, I do my GPU after about 18 months, but always day one if bought from a used market/sale.
  8. Could also very well be the START of the test when it's a colder GPU, I mean he only captures a few seconds and it's not even displaying the full image, only the top left corner. I'd not buy anything based off just this video, tell him you want gaming temps, not a power virus as stated above. Does FURMARK also NOT have the same GPU Boost mechanics as Games? I'll elaborate...Don't some Nvidia architectures / silicon,... drop down in Voltage/Core Frequency when it detects a specific power virus like Furmark (could be reason for lower temps)
  9. You already tried reflowing it... and it didn't take. Thats enough justification to spend my own time elsewhere with more important things like finding another gem to fix. It's dead Jim, find another bargain.
  10. Networking Quality has so many factors that go into it.... it would take a long time to explain each and every link in the network chain and how each link on the path could potentially be a problem at some point... Even if everything was identical (very unlikely ever), the ISP would then be a factor (they notice a link in the chain is weird, they could then adjust something hence different results again)
  11. Assassins Creed Odyssey has never been locked to 60fps on PC. I'd suss some settings guides to see where you could maybe gain some frames. You still have to go over your own display/control panel settings so whatever you choose to do, is suitable for your monitor/panel. Be it using Vsync or Not, and such things of FPS nature.
  12. https://www.nexusmods.com/eldenring/mods/2431?tab=files

This ELDEN RING mod overhauls more than 7000 textures from the base game. This should not impact performance as long as you have enough VRAM.

    Performance:
This should not impact performance as long as you have enough VRAM.
Note that DirectX 12 utilizes shared memory, so you may get away with having less VRAM than these recommended values.

  13. The Witcher 3 | CPU LIMITED FPS in NOVIGRAD with Raytracing on i9 10850K 5.1Ghz / DDR4 @ 4200 CL16

  14. It would probably help everyone involved if you listed your SPECS IN DETAIL (especially your RAM config in Detail) No one knows what you are working with, mismatched or otherwise.
  15. It's the same process as GPU.... Hit the TICK left of the List so it will be activated at first on the monitoring graphs (if not ticked already) Select which one you want, "Show in On-Screen Display" should then be ticked. Change the NAME on screen using Override's below on Image shown And Apply. Forgive me if I missed a step, I don't think I did...
  16. I'd keep trying to find a way to boot with SINGLE/Individual sticks of Ram as a starting point... Go back to Basics,.. Mobo/CPU/1 stick of Ram/GPU//PSU/Keyboard without anything else connected. One by one RAM stick, in each slot, will it boot with one of these configs.. Then if it boots,... take it from there. Assuming something IS bad when troubleshooting is a bad idea,.......iE "Old AMD GPU" because now you don't even consider RAM to be the culprit and may miss something if you lay it all on the "Old AMD GPU" Then you might spend money on a replacement GPU to find its one of the RAM sticks all along. 1 stick at a time, each slot would be where I start.
  17. Outside of your brands listed, because I'm not that familiar with them.... Sharkoon is definitely each to their own... I don't like all their choices.. That Zalman looks okay to me though...I really like old cases, don't know why... I had the Storm Scout 1 so many years ago now,.., never got the 2nd one,.. right now I'm rocking a CM Cosmos S (Silver) from 2008 ^Storm Scout 1 looks to be in similar vein to that Zalman. just with less protruding bits on the side.
  18. The Witcher 3 with Raytracing & Nvidia DLDSR AI Downscaler (DLAA 1440p/1620p basically)

  19. 1024 now = 1000 Advertising made "easier" They just wanted to use "whole numbers" while the devices themselves were divisibly different.
  20. You can do this already... DLAA for Desktop content!!
Deep-learning algorithms in use for Enhanced Details on Screen
    It's never received mainstream attention.

Open the Nvidia Control Panel, select 'Adjust Desktop Size & Position'
Select 'Perform Scaling on' as a Drop down menu and select 'GPU' for Scaling.
Activate Nvidia DLDSR in the 'Manage 3D Settings' section under the Global Tab (for a 1080p baseline monitor = 1440p/1620p DLDSR Resolutions)
The DLDSR Filtering slider works different to the old DSR slider. consider 50% the +0- zero point. left is sharper, right is smoother.
Set your Desktop to your newly activated 2880x1620p resolution, set windows scaling to preferences (eg 150%)
Using the DLDSR Slider for Sharpness/Softness (DLAA Strength) go watch a movie/video/image with different filter values and watch it change/get AI treated.
(Heavy Film Grain content could be negatively enhanced, reducing the filtering to a smoother value can rectify this)

  21. Nvenc also does take some performance. The higher the settings the higher the load. Example of REC a singleplaywr game...Recording 4K 60fps 100Mbps is way more intensive than capturing 1080p 60fps 50Mbps. I can lose UP TO 10% of Avg fps when recording at 4K High Quality but barely up to 5% when 1080p. Its not performance tax free... and people want to share fps data without that overhead on top, those people can use capture cards with an encoder instead of Nvenc.

  23. The Witcher 3 with Raytracing Stock RTGI vs Optimized RTGI MOD

Default vs 1/2 Rays vs 1/4 Rays

    1440p DLSS-Quality tested on RTX2080Ti

  24. Witcher 3 RTGI is super demanding so I used a mod to use 1/4 ray counts for fps increases when RTGI is in use. Barely looks different but performance increases allow higher quality DLSS instead of lowering it for acceptable fps without the mod.
