  1. Using the default out of the box 125w spec it'll be fine. But if your motherboard unlocks power right away to 250watts without you setting it back to 125w then it will struggle under load... trying to force higher clocks and power without the 125w power In place. Be wary of what your motherboard does to power, and make sure its at 125watts and a 120mm AIO will suffice.
  2. Use a Non-Vsync FPS CAP (if you want of course, if not wanting Vsync), the buzzing at certain framerates sounds like coil whine, so potentially I would then lower the FPS AVG/MAX with FPS caps, not Vsync. Nvidia/AMD control panels have this feature, as does MSI Afterburner and various other software out there... to limit MAXFPS to something less coil whined. Quake1 Remaster at 1000fps as a test,.. makes my 2080Ti scream loud (coil whine) but when limited to 360fps, its gone completely.
  3. Until you install it and see you really are panicking over nothing...technically.
  4. Personally.... I would just backup EVERYTHING that's Yours from the phone... Then Proper RESET/CLEAR (Reinstall the OS) and see if it still happens on a new 'stock' Operating System. Rule out the old software installs/bugs at least. Sooner you start sooner its finished. But that's what I'd do anyway...
  5. Due to 128GB instead of 256GB capacity. Many models (write speed) is lower on their 64-128GB models. Not that it really matters much, typical uses like installing programs and writing data is still going to be plenty acceptable and you probably wouldn't even notice anyway due to small tiny files being written never reach MAX speed in their operations anyway, each file is already transferred 100% before it even hits it's speed rating. Lots of tiny files being transferred are typically slower than larger file transfers.
  6. DLSS-TWEAKS Allows forcing DLAA anti-aliasing, customizing DLSS scaling ratios, overriding DLSS DLL version, and choosing different DLSS3.1 presets.

  8. AVX workloads can get pretty warm, but id not consider 83*c overly horrible considering your CPU core count and workload. If it was INSTANTLY 90-95*c or MORE then I'd be more concerned. Spikes into MID80s dont bother me, but would still bother some I guess. Up the cooling ability or undervolt CPU to reduce temps. Fyi my 10900K 5.1Ghz allcore pulls 90*c in cinebench. But I dont use cinebench,, in Adobe Premiere AVX workloads I peak in MID 80s and in games, 40-65*c ranges depending on loads.

Yeah its an acquired taste my friend likes HFR movie content so he asked me to try converting his fav movies. Certainly not for everyone..

It was kind of hard to watch. Never expected it to be worse.

  11. Here is a video I made for a friend, what do you think?
He just started a discord server with friends to organize race meets in GT7 on PS5 because he hates the dirtier racing in daily multiplayer and limited offerings for communications as a team sport.

YT4K60 Trailer footage was used and a couple of photo's.

  12. I'm not a PSU knowledgeable fellow sorry. As per its better but still weird. Try reducing the GPU Power limit (MSI Afterburner or likewise apps) to say 80% or 70% and test. It might make for a smoother experience until you replace your PSU.
  13. Do you have both GPU power plugs coming off a single cable? (Aka Daisy Chained power)? If you have another PCIE cable with 2x power plugs, use a single plug of each main cable to power your GPU. With daisy chained PCIE coming from a single cable My 2080ti had similar behavior. Switching the GPU power from a single cable with 2 8pins for 2 cables with an 8 pin each being use solved it. Worth a try if you have the second PCIE power cable available from your PSU.
  14. Single channel RAM in SOME extreme instances can kill performance by 40%, the thing I saw was years ago and I don't have specifics, but the 40% stood out and I remember that bit. again,.. depends on the game and what it prefers (Latency/Bandwidth) but most games are still effected to some smaller degree by single vs dual channel. I wouldn't rule it out though, if you ARE chasing more performance, I would suggest moving to dual channel to remove that low hanging fruit.
  15. AMD made it that way. And undervolting is the cure, as is potentially lowering the power limit at the topend.
  16. CSGO is called CPU demanding when its not Its CPU LIMITED. Aka, can't use all cores or threads. Only a few. So its CPU thread limited, not CPU demanding. Witchwr 3 Next Gen uses 2 cores 4 threads, Elden Ring uses 1core 100%.. All CPU limited, but not CPU demanding. When CPU limited, Frequency of Cores in use and Ram Latency matters most. You say same build but are your ram timings exactly the same (subtimings) as an example of they are still not likely the same build after all... His software's at atartup and concurrently running vs your.s,.. also probably differs.. Most PCs with similar hardware are still not the same, user preferences and use cases / software installed or used ... all comes into play.
  17. Moving from booting off a HDD to booting off the SSD. Even Sata 1 SSDs vs HDD was still something but Sata2 SSD vs HDD and beyond it was pretty clear the way to go. Night and Day. Like the FIRST time you launch something (Not in RAM) The HDD uncached delays... vs SSD access tomes. Huge deal, impressed day one.
  18. I've made a Malfoy.

  19. Not all downloads from launchers are direct streamed in sequential downloads. Some decompression and unpacking can be involved making you CPU/Disk speed bound with some download launchers.
  20. Horizon Zero Dawn plays like shit on a 2080ti at 4K because the 4790K CPU demands at play are still too high to feed the GPU for MaxFPS. While still playable to me, it wasn't ideal. Game got better as updates happened but they also moved shader compilation to REAL TIME in background so CPU demands actually went up over time. Many games you will be GPU bound, but many games are multicore aware. You'd probably want a 6core or the FASTEST 4C8T. The 4790 nonK likely won't be fast enough in IPC to get the most out of the GPU. I had a 4790K at 4.9Ghz with 2666 DDR3 When I got my 2080ti, from a GTX1070, I switched from 1440p to 4K, and still found CPU performance was lacking. Varies game to game... but why risk the annoyance not getting solved after spending $60. Spend a bit more for a used platform with a 6core or better of modern CPU releases from past few years or better.

  22. Do you use Discord or run it at startup? https://www.techspot.com/news/97449-discord-might-throttling-nvidia-gpu-memory.html This just came up recently in the news... beyond this I'm not sure about your issues, bit weird..
  23. Beyond Power limits, that's probably about it,.. multiplier is locked,.. beyond some limited BCLK overclocking it's probably as fast as it's going to get. If you have Turbo Offset available you might be able to use +1 or +2 to each Core clock (Turbo Boost Mechanics +1 or +2) if that's available.. My 5.1Ghz Allcore 10850k is 7770 Score, and most games you'd be GPU bound with respected settings anyway you won't be missing out on much of anything vs my CPU in gaming...the main difference between you and me is when truly CPU bound, not GPU bound. As mentioned above,..you could Undervolt it for even cooler performance.
