  1. Maybe it's just the fact we're blessed with cheap domestic shipping in the UK. For example, I can send a 90x60x60cm package weighing 10kg for less than £6, and a sub 2kg package costs about £3. Even sending internationally from the UK is reasonable, to the point where the difference between sending something like the screwdriver from the UK to Canada is on par with what LTT charge for domestic shipping in Canada.
  2. Didn't they hire a full time events coordinator exactly for that reason?
  3. Even accounting for the Amazon fees and LTT having to ship the screwdriver to Amazon, it's still $5 USD cheaper to import it from Amazon US than to order it directly from LTT Store if you're in the UK, presumably because of the extortionate costs they pay for shipping! In fact, what makes me laugh is the fact LTT charge $10 USD to ship within Canada, and it would only cost me about $15 USD to ship the screwdriver from the UK to Canada, and it's essentially the same to ship from the UK to the US as LTT charge from Canada. I know that doesn't include the handling part, but it really does put into perspective the costs on that side of the pond!
  4. I'm personally dreading the next WAN show, although I guess Linus might actually be banned from 'hot takes' at this point, and the show will be on a 30 second delay to allow for Dan to cut the show if he goes off the rails! I'm going to take a guess and say it will be the most profitable show ever in terms of merch messages when all the fan boys buy crap they don't need to 'support' LMG. Merch messages will also be intolerable, and probably unbroadcastable, either because they are bad for LMG or they're LMG fanboys going on about how bad GN are.
  5. Once again I made it about a third of the way through the video before I had to turn it off, I don't know whether it's the need to CONSTANTLY SHOUT EVERYTHING AT ME or the fact it's so repetitive (there's no need to repeat the name of the screwdriver 69 times in the space of a minute), but I'd rather shove an LTT screwdriver deep into my ear canal than sit through it! Having said that, I still think a screwdriver is a very subjective thing that you need to try out in person before committing to, some of the most comfortable screwdrivers I've ever used have been cheap supermarket own brand ones, and the more expensive drivers I haven't been able to grip!
  6. I personally use the WIndows Mail app all the time, it's simple and it just works! Haven't tried the new Outlook app yet, but as long as they don't add any advanced features that always manage to ruin everything, I'll be happy!
  7. I absolutely hate clean cars, they look like they've never been driven!
  8. Tools are meant to be used, but I guess most of the people buying the screwdriver are just LTT fanboys rather than people who actually use their tools. I got a new socket set for the car, the immaculate chrome plating was scuffed within seconds of actually using it for what it's designed. I bought myself a new impact driver, and within the first hour it already had scratches and chips all over it, and from that point onwards I didn't have to care about it anymore!
  9. Since I switched to using an elasticated 'knitted' style belt where you can just stick the pointy thing through anywhere on the belt, I don't think i could go back to a 'standard' belt. Having it stretchy means it's super comfortable when I'm standing and sitting (something which I've never found with standard belts), and being able to infinitely adjust it means I don't end up with the inevitable position of being in-between hole sizes
  10. Given the 'simple' branding of other products such as 'Backpack' and 'Screwdriver', would it not make more sense to just call them 'Cable Organisers'
  11. The world is already too AmericaniSed, we can't let them take over our keyboards as well. I won't let that happen!
  12. To give Apple the benefit of the doubt here, maybe they had to rebuild the calibration system to allow users to do it by themselves, and having to call up to was a necessary stop-gap to allow the program to be rolled out earlier.... or maybe not lol
  13. I think AMD has Intel beat for the efficiency even in the laptop space. I did look into doing something like that, but the price came out quite a bit more even without the RAM and SSD.
  14. Ah, I probably should have specified a numpad is a must. I'm unfortunate enough to spend a significant amount of time in excel!
  15. I'm in the market for a mini PC to replace my laptop which has been serving as my main desktop for over a year now. I don't need anything too powerful, but I do the odd bit of video editing for work otherwise I would have just gone for something really low spec and cheap! I'm looking at a Mini PC as I don't really want to take up much space, and since getting my SteamDeck I've done literally zero gaming on my gaming laptop! I've narrowed it down to a TRIGKEY Ryzen 7 5800H with 16GB RAM and 500GB SSD for £350, or a MINIS FORUM EliteMini TH80 i7-11800H with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD for £360, so spec wise they're nigh on identical. I know the R7 and i7 trade blows in benchmarks, so really it would be down to personal preference Both are more powerful than the 9750H in my current laptop, but obviously won't even come close to the RTX 2060 (not that it gets much use). I know Resolve has issues on my 4300U laptop so if it's the same with the 'newer' Ryzen chips then I'd be more likely to swing for Intel. Or, is there something I'm completely missing? Am I wasting my money? Are there better options for around the same price (that I can get from a reputable retailer like Amazon)
  16. I'm currently re-doing my desk setup and am in the market for a new keyboard. My current keyboard is the Logitech K780 which I've had for a few years now and is starting to get a bit iffy, I spilled a bottle of ketchup on it last year and it's never been the same since lol! My preference is for a low profile keyboard as it's what I'm most familiar with, I find the long throw of a 'regular' keyboard tiring! Now, I could just go out and buy another K780 for £70, but I'm wondering if there's anything else on the market. I know there's the MX Keys, which looks good, but it's a fair bit more expensive. I'm in the UK so a UK layout is a must, as is a numpad. My HP OMEN laptop has a hybrid between the UK and US layout and the enter button is awful!
  17. I learned on Premiere at school and still have my totally legit copy of CS6 from back in the day, although for my personal projects I typically used Sony Vegas because I found it quicker. Having said that, I've been trying to transition over to Resolve but the learning curve has been a lot bigger than I originally expected. The basics are the same, but the UI is quite a bit different. The main issue I've had with Resolve has been it's apparent hatred for AMD APUs, it's a buggy mess on my 4300u laptop! Premiere is my last hold-out with Adobe, I've fully transitioned to Affinity Photo and Designer from Photoshop and Illustrator, and I've dabbled a bit with Affinity Publisher for a few projects, but I never really tried out InDesign so that was starting from scratch.
  18. Netflix has been crap for the past few years anyway. The originals are generally quite bad, and the decent ones get cancelled so they may as well not exist. The only reason I had Netflix was because I was on my brother's account, and there's no way I'm paying for it now I've been kicked out. Prime Video has gone to the shitter since they moved all the good stuff over to Freevee or whatever it's called these days. If it wasn't included with Prime I certainly wouldn't pay for it. As much as I'm a Disney hater, I must admit Disney+ is the one I would continue to pay for if I got kicked off my brother's account. There's a decent selection of non-Disney TV shows on there, I've been rewatching NCIS and Criminal Minds, it's just a shame NCIS:LA is on Now TV here in the UK, and I don't pay for that. The only subscriptions I personally pay for is YouTube Premium, ITVX and Channel4. The key thing they're all free services with ads, and you can pay to remove them.
  19. My back pockets might as well not exist. Front left: wallet and keys Front right: Phone That's all I carry. Although, 99% of the time when I'm out I'm wearing a zipped hoodie so my keys go in that left pocket. If I'm at work wearing my work trousers, I use my left knee pocket for my gloves, and my right knee pocket for snacks.
  20. Given they made a backpack that costs $250 and a glorified pencil case that costs $60, I dread to think how much they'd charge for a case!
  21. So how does this management structure work? Linus and Yvonne are directors of the company, but also lower down the structure than the new CEO? So can the new CEO fire Linus? Can the new CEO make financial decisions about the company without the say-so of Linus and Yvonne despite it being 'their' money he's spending?
  22. I'm running 125% on a 27" 1440p monitor and it just feels blurry. As if I'm running at 1080p with poor scaling
  23. If it were me, I'd go Wordpress. Not sure if that's still a controversial opinion or not lol
  24. Seems like a good business opportunity for anyone with an angle grinder. Buy 25mm PZ bits in bulk for basically nowt, cut 5mm off the end and whack them on ebay for a ridiculous amount!
