    Cortana

Wait a minute, is there a windows search function and then Cortana? I thought Cortana replaced windows search?

    Cortana

haha yeah thats an option, but i like windows 10 generally, just that the search function sux.. yeah? and how do i enable it? i can only find very simple settings for Cortana, lite using the cloud and such.

    Cortana

So i recently upgraded to Windows 10, and i've noticed that the search function won't search for programsn you've installed, just apps (?) And the search function is called Cortana right? So is there any way to search for example files and programs in Cortana? or can you just get the old search function from Windows 7? thanx in advance..
  4. Sorry for being so inactive. tried that, error still occured. trying startup repair as i'm writing this, tried starting without a keyboard even connected and still it occured... Edit: Tried startup repair, it just told me to disconnect any new hardware.. another thing i noticed is that when im about to choose operating system from the Windows cd, it says my main one is on my (F:) drive, but it's supposed to be on my (C:) drive. Can this be a factor why startup repair doesn't work?
  5. Hi! So today when I was about to start my computer which had been sitting disconnected for about 3-4 days. And when I would type in my password it kept filling in the box with, what I assumed was, a random letter. So i though the keyboard was stuck, restarted the computer with the keyboard disconnected but it still kept writing this random letter. So i clicked on the password recovery button and when it told me to choose which usb-drive to load the password recovery file from it wrote "060606" repeatedly. I have googled it but can't find anything but laptops with their keyboards stuck. So I tried starting from a past recovery point, but It said that I don't have any which I think is strange. So is this a virus I've gotten? or just an annoying bug..
  6. Yeah, I'll try that. I have a Ubuntu cd, I can boot from the cd and then format my boot drive, right? If I only made a post about my problem before I reinstalled Windows... well well, haha, but it got remove after reinstalling Windows so that no problem anymore.
  7. So I had a program that didn't uninstall properly, it didn't remove a couple of files because they were always running in some programs. So I read that I could go into recovery mode and remove it through the Windows 7 cd, because they weren't running then. That it didn't work so I just restarted my computer. But then when it were about to boot it wanted me to choose between "Windows 7" and "Windows 7 (restored)", and it says that every time I boot. But I tried to reinstall Windows, didn't do a thing... Any suggestions?
  8. Really? Great, then 3GB it is.
  9. Alright, but do I loose a lot in terms of temperature with the EVGA with the stock cooler?
  10. Alright, but that extra screen is only used for spotify and bittorrent, but that 1280x1024 extra resolution maybe demands a bit more from the graphics card then?
  11. Alright, 'cause 30 bucks for 1 extra GB is worth it then? Because if I get the 3GB version I will get the EVGA 3GB model, and if I go with the 2GB version it will be the one from MSI with the Twin Frozr 4 (i think it is) cooler. The only downside with getting the 3GB version would be to lose the better cooler on the MSI card..
  12. At the moment I've got a GTX 460, and I'm going to buy a 660Ti. My question is, should I get a 2GB or a 3GB GTX 660Ti? I have one BenQ XL2420T (and yes, i do run nVIDIA 3D Vision on it) and one extra 1280x1024 screen. What benefits do I get with a 3GB card, and can I really get that extra GB to good use?
