  1. My Asus says to rename it, but I never do. I just find the hard drive its on in the bios update in the Bios and it works. But I'm sure they have a reason to do it?
  2. Ryzen is funny with Ram your most likely going to have to mess around with it. Took me 5 months to get mine to 3200. If you have not seen this it may be of help.
  3. What are your timings and your clock on your 1600x.
  4. I have read that sometimes improper timings and voltage can cause a stick to go into system reserved . Have you tried to set your voltage to 1.2 and maybe pick a bios ram profile for your ram. Its a long shot I know.
  5. I think AMD says 1.35 v is for 24/7 use and I'm sure that is to cover the butts and based on a test sample of many chips. Your 3200 speed ram and your timings look to be pretty good. I would lower the clock to 3.8 and lower the voltage myself. Your not going to ever notice any change from 3.9 to 3.8 Ghz. It should bring the temp down some and may make your computer more stable. Just start putting lower Volts in the Bios see how low you can get it stable at whatever clock you choose. Id try something like 1.37 see if it is stable. On a side not I did juice mine at 1.55 v for about 5 minuets once. Would that last for a day or a week? Who knows but it would fail.
  6. Yes I can clock my ram to 3200 MHz or my 1700 x to 4 GHz but not at same time. I use a 3.8 GHz and a 3200 MHz RAM and its is stable. And when I clock my CPU to 4 Ghz it ruins at 4.2 v highest temps are about 60 c with NZXT closed loop. When I clock the CPU to 3.8 I set the voltage to + offset of 0.018 and it stays at 1.37 volts. I would try to keep it under 1.4 Volts.
  7. My EVGA 1080 SC2 runs around 2000 without changing Clocks. I did make this video of it playing SWBF2 at 2 K 2560 x1440 with a 50 MHz overclock and 400 MHz on memory Overclocking the card does not do much because it is already clocked high for that card https://youtu.be/LUMc_3RwslI
  8. Must be the whole copy and paste from e mail. Yes thanks for letting me know about night mode, I like it. Yes re mapping the keys is what I have been doing, along with setting mouse buttons to do things. If you guys will play Star Wars battlefront 2 or PUBG you will see what I'm thinking.
  9. Lets take the Star Wars battlefront 2 for one example. To use star cards and ability’s they have it mapped to Q,E, and F. I prefer 1,2 and 3. But to do this I must move my fingers in a left diagonal motion to use the 1,2,and 3. This does not feel natural or as fast as it would be with the keys in perfect alignment 123 and QWE. The Alt key is used to do a roll move. To do this I must pull my thumb way over to the left of of the space bar. Seems slow and awkward. Basically the space bar would be half Alt and half space so I wouldn’t have to move my thumb so far and unnaturally.
  10. I want a keyboard with the top number keys like this. 1 right above the Q and down the line. Also would like the left Alt moved right where the left end of the space bar is. Better for games so I can use keys 1, 2 and 3 to switch guns faster and the alt to run or look around.
  11. I have seen others reporting this and, it seems to be that either the Nivida driver or windows no longer supports older card for hybrid graphics. Update------- Nivida chat said the last 1080 Ti driver 388.31 - WHQL will work with the 780 as a Hybrid system
  12. My spare computer, the one the kid uses has a 8320 that overclocked to 4.1 really easy. Paired with a Nivida 970 and, it does ok on gaming for now. I would not buy the parts to make this machine. But if a dirt cheap chip was available around 20 bucks I might.
  13. I think you just answered you own question. The purpose of resetting CMOS is to put all settings at stock. I'm not sure if the Asus rog strix blablabla 370-f gaming(the special amd one) has a Q code when this happens.? Also updating the motherboard bios has fixed my Memory issues. Your CPU seems warm for only using 1%. Have you tried a stress test like AIDA64 to check temps under full load?
  14. I would not think your ram is bad because you have multiple sticks to test with. I would contact ASUS support and see if they could help you troubleshoot. And if that does not work began the return on the motherboard.
  15. Are you referring to the light above your ram or on the bottom right side of your board? Clear CMOS? Check PSU? Check DRAM Voltage? CPU Voltage? Try booting with Ram at 2400 Mhz?
