  1. I solved it. It was the sata power. Don't ask me how that prevented the entire system from getting power, or only parts, but it was. I'll be returning this psu, maybe it's the cables messed up, or the psu itself. But thank god all this money isn't down the drain. Thanks for the help everyone!
  2. Okay, so I decided to just plug in the old psu to see if anything happens, and to my surprise, the front fans turned on. Nothing else though. Soo new issue it seems.
  3. When I flip the psu switch, I can hear a very very subtle buzz, that kinda has a pulse. It's super quiet and it did this out of the box. When I press the power button, nothing happens, and when I flip the psu back off, I don't hear any noise.
  4. I'm currently using CableMod cables, but I'm having the exact same issue with the new cables.
  5. My first thought was the front panel connectors. Rearranged them a bit, reconsulted the mobo guide, even looked up online to see if I got it right. I do. Just to be sure the case isn't broken, I tried using the screwdriver method to start. Still won't start. As in like no power at all. I've built and rebuilt a good dozen or so pc's, never had this issue. Everything is firmly connected, and I'm still just not getting any signs of life. Besides, it's not really possible to put the cables in wrong. They can only fit in their respective spots.
  6. No lights at all. And I've tried multiple outlets all around my house, ones that I know work and it still isn't booting.
  7. This is an update from this thread: I tested my psu after this and determined it was dead. I went out, bought a new one, and tested it out and still wouldn't start so I figured the cpu and mobo were bad as well. So I just decided to upgrade to an i5 9600k, got an Azrock z390m Pro4 motherboard, and 16 gb Corsair vengeance ram. Installed it all, along with new psu and it STILL won't boot. I removed gpu and still not going. At this point I'm really truly lost. I can't think of anything that is wrong and I've just spent $600 trying to get this up and going. I need this PC for work and I don't know what to do. I don't have any pc repair places near me. Please help.
  8. Okay, I tried the paperclip again to make sure I'm not crazy, and nothing. No fan for even a second, so I'll go ahead and rma it if possible or just buy another one. I don't have another pc to test with. Thank you.
  9. I tried this but didn't seem to work. But I'm not so sure it's the psu since the pc was frozen for quite a bit before I forced it off. And even when it was shut down, the keyboard was still lit up until I flipped the psu switch. I just tried this. Still not working.
  10. Hey guys, can anyone please help me with my pc problem?

  11. Hello, So yesterday I put an oc on my pc. I have an i5 4690k and I got it clocked to 4.4ghz at 1.27v on water. Everything seemed stable and that was that. Today, I left it on and went to do something and came back about 30 minutes later and the pc was completely frozen. Eventually I decided to just hold the power button. Everything shut off except for the lights on my keyboard, so I decided to flip the psu switch. Waited a bit, then flipped it back on and... nothing. No lights, no signs of life at all. So I tried taking the cmos battery out and putting it back in, still no power. Nothing will charge from the usb ports or anything. Did I fry something? My temps seemed good, nothing over 65C on load. Any clue what is wrong?? I need this pc for work and I'm kinda screwed right now without it.
  12. Ah shit. I hope this doesnt do too much damage to them, I love Spotify.
  13. I agree. They are giving free DLC in the game, and I would have personally SUPPORTED a microtransaction system if it weren't forced and was mostly cosmetic. The executives behind this business model are either incredibly out of touch with the market or are blinded with greed. Or most likely a combination of both.
  14. Shitty thing is, with a proper progression system and no microtransactions, this would have been a pretty solid game. They improved on most of the issues from the previous game and I was personally looking forward to it. Now I doubt I'll ever even buy it.
