Find someone with an old 20ish yr old CRT monitor they are willing to get rid of, and get a cheap VGA to hdmi or display port converter. 95% of the convenience for ~100$ less.

I'll say as someone who has a second display that is a 10-20 yr old CRT (1280 x 1024), the productivity of a second display is great, but you don't notice a lower resolution for most things like discord, spotify, or webpages. I get that you would want the HD monitor of course
